My child has a friend who is 11 yrs old and she shares a room with her 13yr old brother and they sleep in the same bed. I find this very strange and disturbing. Please tell me your input.

It is a little odd, but maybe the family is one of those poor, unfortunate families to where they can't afford much for their kids so the best they can possibly do is give them a mattress to share in a small home. Or maybe it's just a rumor about the two siblings that started out from one possible night where the little sister was scared in the dark and needed comfort and just slipped in the bed with her brother for some comfort. There's plenty of reasonable possibilities. It depends on where and whom you've gotten this story from.

Yes they may only have 1 bedroom but that doesn't explain anything it isn't right! They could at least have 2 separate beds! Or 1 sleep on a couch or the floor or make them a bed somewhere else in the house. The girl is 11 years old and the boy is 13 years old they are way too old to be sleeping in the same bed and sharing a room! Under no circumstances that's acceptable!!! I understand that everybody has tons of money but I believe that they could figure out some other way that they wouldn't have to share a bad!

I have no reason to believe or think that anything sexual is going on at all I don't think that. I think they are a little behind and alittle nerdy and just don't know any different. I definitely think something is wrong with the parent who thinks that is normal.

Pretty sad. Sibblings have shared beds since there were beds to share. If the kids raised with any sense at all theres no reason to make filthy assumptions. Basically its none of your business, your opinions say more about you than their arrangement does about them.

A boy and girl who are teenagers!!! Thats not normal! If it was two girls it may be.different but a 13yr old boy and 11yr old girl not normal! They share a bed! Maybe even if it was separate beds in same room still not too normal! This is 2013 not 1920!!!!!!! I feel sorry for them!

You have no right telling anyone how to live their lives. Im guessing they have a healthier relationship than you know how to have.
