Watch this fungal infection of humanity try to get off on these charges for there not getting a "timely" prosecution. It is interesting he has served time for other charges before and his mental status was never in question.

Innocent until provin guilty, did you ever think that it keeps getting pushed back for a reason ! I pray that he is innocent and will not judge this young man until or if he is found guilty and nor should anyone else, if you were not present and with all of them the night it happened then how can you just jump on the band wagon ? I have nothing but sorrow for the victims families and do pray that justice is served for them , but until a judge or jury says GUILTY then do not judge anyone involved in this sad situation !

I wonder why the process is speedier in some cases than others? For example, the police officer in Culpeper that was recently convicted of manslaughter committed that crime less than a year ago. In the case above, it's closer to 2 years now and still no sign of a trial any time soon. The Hugley (sp?) trial took a long time to get to trial as well. It's weird how our system works.

I think it's because a defendant has a choice to waive a speedy trial. That gives them more time to prepare a case.

Check out his resume in the local district and circuit court websites(city and county). I see no references to poopsy nuttsy cop outs during his many previous achievements.

Look for him soon on the downtown mall, on Freebridge holding a cardboard sign, or sleeping in one of the 24 hour laundromats.

Hopefully one or more of his defense attorneys will sign up to be a "Big Brother" and provide him with a good home.

2 cases in Albemarle district court
23 cases in Charlottesville district court
11 cases Greene district court
3 cases Albemarle circuit
13 cases Greene circuit
5 cases Charlottesville circuit

Oh yeah, he might be poopsy nuttsy, but he knows how to play the system like a person that is, well, quite cunning and calculating.

Use the court websites and see what the media doesn't bother telling you about.

Let's give this victim a 58th, er, make that a SECOND chance, to use the words that many try to hide the felons behind..........

It says he has a low IQ. Maybe he is innocent.
But if he has all those offenses as Johnny Cochran says, than maybe he's guilty. Sometimes cops are too hard on people & persuade them to be guilty. They said they found his DNA at the crime scene plus an unknown persons DNA!

I believe it is an acronym for Jefferson Area Drug Enforcement. In the criminal world no one can be trusted...backstabbing, being a rat (or a snitch, or tattletale if you like), lying - common practice in the sleazy world of crimes and criminals. They will do anything and say anything and PRETEND anything in order to get away with the crimes they commit.
I've looked at this guys rap sheet of past crimes. He should already have been put away permanently IMHO. A civil world has no room in it for a slimeball like this creature. They are soulless.

Probably because it's in the defense's best interest for a speedy trial. When it's a slam dunk case, like Huguely the defense needs every trick in the book to keep their client away from the needle. This case appears to be a slam dunk, but there are no eyewitnesses. I bet the prosecution and defense is taking their time to get it right as this will be a capital case. I am all for justice taking it's time to ensure the state does not murder an innocent.
.
I know there are varying opinions on it. I look at it this way. Most of us already feel that the government is incompetent. So when it comes to the death penalty, do we trust them to carry it out with competence? There have been enough people on death row exonerated for me to question it. Sometimes bad dogs just need to be put down, so every effort should be made to ensure that the right bad dog put down(meaning a guilty is free).
