Looks like the VSP are bored .

Maybe C-ville will pick up the phone and CALL THE VSP and see if they could help with a missing black kid, that may still be alive , even the witness may be in trouble , cant be found. would two missing black folk trump a dead white girl ?

oh well .... I guess not

Randomthoughts, yes yours are. The VSP is involved and investigating the case for Sage, as well as the FBI. There are many open cases in the state of virginia and they are all given appropriate attention, nothing to do with race, religion, or the sex of the victum. Dude, get a job and a life please.

The race card is so worn out budday, give it a rest. There are plenty of high-ranking african americans in the VSP. Just because there is no recent media attention doesn't mean they aren't pursuiing new leads in that case as well...

You and your "race card" deserve a rest. This story is proof that families don't always get the answers they need in these cases. As much enthusiasm and compassion you have for this "black" family should allow you to show some respect for the "white" family that is still waiting 17 years later...(to use your words)... "I guess not"

As with Morgan Harrington: Hope for the best but be realistic. The chances of these cases being solved is slim and none.

Why haven't they kept this case in the news. It's been 17 years. The person that murdered her has probably been killing others.

The Virginia State Police couldn't find a haystack covering a needle. Troopers are ticket writers and that's it. So promoting someone from being a ticket writer to an investigator working murder cases doesn't work. You have to have experience. If a trooper shows up at your next accident you're in good hands. If one shows up at a criminal offense involving one of your family members then you're in trouble. That is unless he's there to direct traffic. It's a total myth to believe the State Police are capable of solving a tough crime.

I'm sorry Jade is still missing. I truly hope the family has an answer soon.
BUT PLEASE, GIVE UP THE BLACK TRUMP CARD
This person is an adult.
Who knows, he may be where he wants to be and doesn't want to be found.
Just saying!
Please

Just what are police suppose to do when there's no crime scene? Police know where DaShad was last seen, but seems like there was no evidence left behind to indicate a crime had been committed, or if there wasn't a crime, where DaShad had decided to go. Sorry, real life isn't like a crime drama on tv. There aren't script writers telling investigators to go here, find this, and then in an hour solved the crime. Alicia Showalter Reynolds' parents, siblings and husband have suffered for 17 years knowing their loved one was killed and discarded like trash in the woods. The person who killed her is out there somewhere and maybe has killed again. DaShad's parents have the hope that just maybe he will come home. If they know he's no longer alive, then they apparently know more than law enforcement.

You are one sick person. NO 2 black folk does not trump a dead white girl. You should be out looking for your two black folk, instead of acting ignorant on the comment blog.

Debbie , even with the name as a dead give away , only a middle aged angry white woman think one dead white girl shoudl take priority the dead.

Stay angry Debbie, it's matches your personality.

Even the lowest of imbicile dead-beat could walk a mile in your slightly used work boots.

Very few have been able to stroll through even an inch of my mind before collapsing.

Shall you ?

I am still standing .

Hi Randomthoughts:
Shall I take a stroll? The word is "imbecile," not "imbicile." Last time I checked, i was nowhere near e on a computer keyboard, so a typo is out of the question.

It has been a lovely stroll, but my worn out shoes are quite tired after that .001" stroll into your mind.

It's a topic because for 17 years a killer has lived and breathed while a 25 year old woman has been in her grave. A woman who only committed the crime of heading to Charlottesville to shop with her mother. Also, this story was larger at the time than Mrs. Reynolds. Thankfully, she was the only young woman who was killed, but several women encountered a person who was probably the same man. If I remember correctly, one was lucky to escape with her life. Even if he was as old as 45 at the time, today he's only 62 so he could still be dangerous.

Is there a sketch? I don't remember someone else that he attacked. I do remember the 2 sisters & another girl in Spotsylvania that was murdered around the same time as Alicia. But I think they found their murderer.
