Confederate soldier stands his ground

Despite the Reidsville Confederate Monument officially departing his post on Scales Street, another soldier is taking his place and standing up for what he believes is right.

I am deeply saddened by influence of political correctness on not repairing this monument its truly sad that our American history is being rewritten. the war between the states was much more than slavery and this monument does represent slavery ---being that it has been in this location for 101 yrs is it not a historical site ? also aren't there laws about war memorials and monuments not being disturbed once erected--wont the drivers insurance be held responsible for repairs. I saw this on fox news last night and new immediately new where this was before the commentator said a word my Mother was from Reidsville meet my father in in Greensboro in WW2 and moved to Michigan after the war as a youth I spent my summers in Reidsville/greensboro and saw the monument often never once did I hear anybody say anything racial regarding this statue just that he was a Confederate soldier.I sincerely hope this decision is over turned it just is not right Michael Walker brighton michagin
