How could Tommy and Amber continue to stuff themselves when those poor animals were starving?

The worst part about it is that these poor dogs are now in the custody of the Rockingham County Animal Shelter, which is the absolute worst and most cruel shelter in the Triad and surrounding areas. They still use the gas chamber and the dogs will die a slow and painful death. Pancake whatever rescue, come get these dogs!

This is sickening! There is no legitimate rescue that would ever allow animals to be kept in this condition. These 2 need to go to jail and never be allowed to have an animal again.

A newspaper quoted the man's age as 37 and the girl's age as 19. Is that his daughter or his wife? And I also saw where he apparently said he was new to rescue, so who in the world gave him custody of all these dogs on his property? When legitimate rescues "rescue" a dog, they make certain that it is placed in a waiting foster home (that has already filled out an application and undergone a home visit, etc.) and that it receives prompt vet care. The thought of some of those dogs being so hungry they were feeding off dead dogs is absolutely unacceptable.

I believe NOTHING I HEAR AND HALF OF WHAT I SEE. However, in this case I see animals being mistreated and abused, so I have to believe MY LYING EYES!!! I also know how to use proper grammar and spelling as this is something you obliviously have a problem with. Seems to me, by your post that you may be the person responsible for this, take notice, I said MAY. If you are the person on the news report, I see it as a crying shame that you could continue to stuff your face while those dogs did without. It's also a crying shame that "SUSIE'S LAW" will not take effect until the end of this year, making folks that do these things to animals face felony charges.

That is his wife not his daughter. He married her when she turn 16 after dating her for a couple years first.

As someone who did see this with their own eyes, this was a AWFUL scene. What you can not see in the video is the SMELL of death that was all over that place. As for him denying the dogs attack the goat or horse, he would have a better chance denying the sky was blue. The goat did manage to escape with puncture wounds and muscle contusions, and has a good prognosis. Personally I think if the sheriffs had not been there to stop the attack there would have been at least one more dead animal.

SICK!! These people needs to be put away and never allowed to have an animal again or for that matter their kids..I have heard him put down his Ex Wife for awhile now and how sorry she is but in my eyes they are NO better..If they can't feed and care for animals how can he take care of his 3 beautiful girls..I say take them out back and chain them up,they both could afford to drop afew lbs. & let them see how it feels to be hungry
I just don't understand people and what they are thinking..This PISSES me off

What i cant understand is why if he is a soupose animal rescue why he dose not have each and evey dog he gets checked by a vet before he outs them with the other animal. Who knows what the dogs might be carring. I feel sorry for the dogs as well as his kids. If he treats his animals this way how dose he treat his kids. Wonder if he makes them fight for his and ambers left overs

I'm afraid I'd like to torture those people, just a little, yet I still feel somewhat superior to them.

I agree the shelter sucks but it would help if you knew what YOU were talking about. The Rockingham County shelter hasn't used a gas chamber in TWO years. That's right, TWO years. The county threatened to cut off the funds if the hospital (that oversees it) didn't stop using the gas chamber. So they have gone back to using needles. And the county is building a brand new shelter which opens by summer of 2011. Hopefully the kill rate in Rockingham County will be much lower when it opens.

Is it just me or did anyone else notice that the charges given to the 2 people are of the dogs that the Reidsville Vet Hospital killed? Every time that they kill one of the animals in question, They charge the accused with it. I sure hope that nothing happens to anyone near me. They might just charge me with it. The animals was alive until the cops got involved. Now they are dying. Good luck to the 2 people involved. Seems the sheriffs office has it out for them.

Why are they ONLY being charged with misdemeanors? They should be charged with felony animal cruelty.

These people were not 'rescuers'. They are con artists that use the animals to collect 'donations' for themselves.

They really are the bad guys. There is no excuse for dead, unburied dogs except for neglect and starvation. If the dogs were sick, they weren't taken to a vet. If they were starving, they weren't being fed. They certainly weren't being socialized. These two 'humans', and I use that term loosely, are as low as child molesters. They prey off the weakest, defenseless, and voiceless animals.
