4 wheelers and youth

4 wheelers are not toys. they are serious motor vehicles. It is a known fact that these are not supposed to be ridden by youth. They are not supposed to be on a public road.
Something needs to be done about the parents who allow these to be used for toys. If they are going to let thier children ride them on privete property they need to be made to wear helmets.
In my opinion this is child endangerment. It is about time the law enforcement in the state do something.
They do wheelies in the roads and cause holes.
The worst of it is they do not stop when they come to another road. They just go straight accross without looking to see if anything is coming. It has happened to me and I am sure many of you.
Today two young people ran out in front of a tractor trailor. They driver did everything including turning his truck over to keep from hitting them.
I only hope the parents don't want to blame the truck driver for this accident.
IT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED if the kids did not have access to this 4 wheeler.
PLEASE PARENTS do more to protect your children.

I totally agree .I have told tresspassers on my property that when there parents bought then this 4 wheeler that that they did not buy then my property to destroy it with . I think new laws concerning 4 wheel operation should be enfourced and be acted upon to the letter of the law.

It is not only kids on the 4 wheelers. I see a lot of adults riding on highways around the area. I even saw a man with a small infant riding on hwy 56 near joy bluff road a few weeks back. This is child endangerment and should be taken care of by our law enforcement. These machines should be used only off road and only on land where they have permission to ride. Not on other peoples property who do not want them there......
