well im seriously disgusted in the abuse of alice in the box.but am in no way from toombs county georgia, ive seen some things done to animals here that would this country howl with injustice, but who do you report such things to? when the law enforcement doesnt consider animals as an issue and the local animal shelter shoots the animals it picks up.the choices are limited.i wish i could afford to take care of all the abused animals there, but can only afford the ones i could save from the dumpster, and cry and pray for the rest.

There can be no argument or uncertainty about the abuses, and absolutely the neglect, that Alice endured for 6 years. Now the poor dog is heartworm + and so another variable for neglect is introduced into the equation. Do you think that she will get treated? Not where I would put my money if I were a betting person. The new outdoor enclosure is less of an abuse that the previous dank and squalid BOX but far from adequate. I live in will be very hot very soon shade, adequate clean water, not to mention medical attention for her heartworm condition will be paramount. Ms Hayward, if she really loves this dog as she infers that she does, would give her up so a loving safe caring home with medical resources could be found for Alice. Amen!

I am extremely surprised no one has already rescued this dog... You don't need to go through legal channels, just recue her! Get her away from these people... yes, dognapping... I said it... I would never resort to such tactics but things are going nowhere and if I lived closer I'd do just that... I don't give a rat's @$$ if it's illegal... the so-called 'legal' way in Georgia is a joke. Save her life! I'm from the South, these rednecks don't deserve this dog.

Why on God's earth hasn't someone just taken that dog already. I'm tempted to drive down there from Philly and dognap Alice myself. Sick twisted freaks who shouldn't be able to raise a child let alone a dog!

This is a prime example of ppl not doing their research- before getting online and flapping their little fingers until its blown out of proportion. If any one of you have physically seen this dog and can confirm that she is abused- speak up. But I know you won't bc I HAVE seen this dog- and she was not abused. Or mistreated. Or anything of the such. The owner isnt a rich person- but last time i checked, you don't have to be rich to love an animal. Ppl please stop blowing this out of proportion and let it go. There are BABIES out there being treated worse than what this dog was RUMORED to have been being treated. What are your priorities, really?? If you feel that strongly about animal cruelty, then get off your computer and do something abt dogs that are truly being abused. If you arent part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

Hello everyone!
Oh this just breaks my heart!
Does anyone know what ever happened to Alice?
I'm almost afraid to ask.
Whichever her outcome, whether it is good or bad, I hope she has peace, dignity and love wherever she is. She deserves it...
I read that she had heart worm, which I know can be fatal if not treated in time
PLEASE someone go over to that disgusting hell hole and take that dog!(I do not live In Georgia, I live in NY)
Oh I wish I could LOCK them up in a cage and see how they feel after ONE day let alone 6 years those B@$taRds! It just makes me so mad!
and Most Human beings make me so mad, especially people that harm poor innocent animals that cannot fight back or tell people what they feel.
And this type of thing, unfortunately, will never ever stop unless there's a day where only animals inhabit the Earth.
I believe that if we can help save even just one animal, Then Our fight is well worth it.
But I will save as many animals as I can in my life, until my dying day, and that is a promise I made to them.
We MUST be their voice...people like us.
We ARE their Voice. I may not change the world, But I will die trying.
Dear Sweet Beautiful Alice and the many millions just like you babe...
I love you
your human friend in NY
*tears are falling down my face for you right now
and they're just for you.
