why dont they report more local news? At 5 they tell stories that NBC tells at 5:30pm. I would like to know more West KENTUCKY news. They are in KENTUCKY? It seems they do not have any reporters there anymore. they must not pay well.

unfortunately channel 6 WPSD has decided that they can fill their news time with advertising for their own news program..........like telling you of a show they will have on at 10:00 PM THAT EVERY CHILD AND PARENT NEEDS TO SEE.......CONCERNING CHILD ABDUCTION

10:15 PM IS A GREAT TIME FOR A SHOW THAT KIDS NEED TO SEE, TOO. Utter brilliance on their part!

HOWEVER, channel 3 to some degree, and channel 12 especially; show much more local interest news than 6 does.

THAT's PATHETIC.for channel 6, considering that they broadcast from over 2 hrs away.

We passed though Paducah recently and had the TV on at the motel. Th local news certainly needs to be improved. We found the "news readers" uninteresting and not even familiar with the area. Seems as through they had difficulty in know where certain communities were. The pay at that station must be horrible. Way too much internal stories as one person has already written.

Agreed.

I would take her to the weather garden for some forecasting.

Why does WPSD advertise the Jay Leno show during the newscast? Isn't this supposed to be news time, not upcoming show time?

Jennifer Rukavina does well at the weather, but I miss Cal. He was there for so long, and he did good things like having weather watchers and Cal's coats for kids. I don't guess Jennifer has weather watchers anymore.

Seems like a lot of people have quit WPSD for whatever reasons. Some have retired, and some have moved on. Seems like in the last several years there has been a pretty good turnover. Let's see: Ron Beaton quit; Lew Jetton quit: Scott Couch quit; Amy Watson quit (I thought to spend time with her family, but I think she's working in Nashville); Cal Sisto; Paula Bridges; etc.; and various news reporters.

When I was a kid there were Tom Butler, Bob Swisher, John Williams, Joe Toy, Dan Steele, Tom Siler, Sam Burrage, etc. working at the station.

Sure will miss Paula. She was the one bright spot on a rather dull TV station.

The pay is terrible and they can't get anyone to stay. If you are good at this job at all you will use Paducah as a stepping stone to bigger and better things.

I agree that Channel 6 only repeats the news that will be on at 5:30. I would like to see more local news. Usually watch Channel 3 news at 10 to find out what is happening in our area.

Also think their news is more political in nature.

A while back in a news report, the reporter Gerrand Thomas mentioned working a second job to help make ends meet. That could be an indication that they don't get rich there.

Look at all those girls that used to work there that jumped ship to be PR for hospitals. Amy Watson, Susanne Farmer, and one or two more.

I agree, channel 12 and 3 tell their local news but 6 gives us all the national news and we hear it again at 5:30. It would be nice to know more what is going on around town. I see things I would love to attend and learn of them after they happen. How about telling us more local interest

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Pisces

Although you're busy putting the finishing touches to your Christmas preparations, you'll also have to pay attention to someone who's feeling neglected or unloved. Luckily, it won't take much to make this person feel better, so a big hug or a little consideration might do the trick. You should also bear in mind that they may be feeling nostalgic or sad about the past.
