I can't believe there would be any dissention in establishing a clean alternative to energy, such as ocean stationed windmills. Do people in Sussex realize how much cleaner their energy supply would be if they used wind? Coal plants, especially Indian River facility, are our biggest enemy as far as clean, safe air to breath, they may provide much needed electric, but at what price (health) to the families living in the coastal areas? I think we should put the windmills in place.

Against it because : ask how many birds are killed (lots) by flying into the turning blades. And, when there is no wind or not enough wind, a standby power plant, coal, oil, etc. is needed to fill that void. It's a great idea, but there are downsides that do not seem to get much mention.

Wind farms sound great! Just make sure that the wind farms are not in any bird flyways.

Ask the people of Europe about all the birds that fly into windmills before making this statement. And wind farms need not be in the ocean. Drive west on the PA turnpike and note the wind farms.

Keep the wind farms out of the flyways, otherwise it's sounds like a great idea.
