Saint Landry Road Repairs

For a parish notoriously known for bad roads, Saint Landry Parish officials are excited about a road mixture that could help repair some surfaces that desperately need it.

Yeah this is nothing new. This is what they have been doing around the Leonville area for a few years and it doen't last. It is fine for a while but the potholes are still there after the mix packs down. Gravel on top of asphalt doesn't work.

The parish government complains that they have no money!! Well, it seems to me that they should. The Racino money is supposed to go to the parish for fixing things, such as roads. That money has to be going somewhere else...like Don Menard's pocket!!!! They just re-paved Contry Ridge Road, which was not in bad condidtion at all, because they repaired it a couple of years ago. The parish government just pisses me off so bad. They repair the roads near the rich people, while poor Leonville is going to shits. I just want to let everyone know something: last the first election Don Menard did not receive my vote, the most recent election he did not receive my vote, and the next one he will definitely not receive my vote!!!!!!!!

Looks like your vote didn't count any way. You should take the time to find out how the Racino money is divided up. Not all the Racino money goes to Parish Government, it is divided up between the cities and other agencies too. So all the people down country ridge road are rich? Could have fooled me!!! All the roads in this parish are not repaired by parish government. There are several road districts, not just one. Don Menard tried to get the people in this parish to vote to have one road district so that each area in the parish could get equal road repairs or re-covering, but people don't listen.

Did i say that all the Racino money goes to the Parish government....no, i did not!! All the residents down Country Ridge Road may not all be rich, but they are all not poor either!! Well, I never knew that all the road districts are not repaired by parish government, because our roads have never been repaired!! That new road mixture down Jennings Road....already getting holes in it. He just bought it cause it's cheap!!

Itl's not just the Racino money Don Menard is mismanaging. It is all the funds coming into Parish Government. He does what is best for Cankton only. Just research the conditions of the roads in Cankton years ago before Don Menard became Parish President and the conditions of those roads now Cankton has the best roads in the Parish. The St. Landry Parish Council members are intimidated by Don Menard they will not dare go against him or his mistress Roxanne Godeau The parish will go to ruin under his dictation. Do yall know Jesse Bellard, Don Menard's nephew will run for Parish President in 2012. They believe in keeping the money in the family

You heard about him and Roxanne, too. My point exactly......The Leonville/Arnaudville area has the crapiest roads ever. Well, If Jesse Bellard is anything like his uncle, then St. Landry Parish will continue to be known as the worst parish in the State of Louisiana!!!!
