So being in business for over 40 years and never heard anyone worry about what their tax rate will be on the gain they are going to make on a business investment.

Warren Buffett lays out a lot of facts to support his position, but in the end we all know he speaks the truth that higher taxes do not prohibit or decrease investment or employment.

But your local CRYING, GOP, Republican or Tea Party member will tell you otherwise.

Hey Moron, he is NOT a software mogul. Buffett has invented NOTHING. He has invested in China. That was Gates you were thinking about. Take fewer hits, pot is not good for the memory.

He is not you just get all crazy when he talks about his secretary paying less. Which in fact she doesn't. He talks big to manipulate Obama. Obama is a pawn for Buffett. He is free to send a check to the US Treasury, who is holding him back? Instead he gives it to Gates who uses it in Africa.

It is symptomatic of the national condition of the United States that the worst humiliation ever suffered by it as a nation, and by a US president personally, passed almost without comment last week. I refer to the November 20 announcement at a summit meeting in Phnom Penh that 15 Asian nations, comprising half the world's population, would form a Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership excluding the United States.

President Barack Obama attended the summit to sell a US-based Trans-Pacific Partnership excluding China. He didn't. The American led-partnership became a party to which no-one came.

Instead, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, plus China, India, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, will form a club and leave out the United States. As 3 billion Asians become prosperous, interest fades in the prospective contribution of 300 million Americans - especially when those Americans decline to take risks on new technologies. America's great economic strength, namely its capacity to innovate, exists mainly in memory four years after the 2008 economic crisis.
Oblama is a disgraceful, poor excuse for a us president.

President Barack Obama has dramatically upped his demands in the fiscal crisis negotiations: He wants Congress to levy twice as much in extra taxes from Americans as he urged during the election campaign, give up its control over the nation’s debt limit, and fund an immediate $50 billion stimulus for his political priorities.

In exchange, Obama offered to consider — but not necessarily accept — GOP proposals for cutting $400 billion from Medicare and other programs strongly favored by off-year voters.

That listening session would take place sometime in 2013, giving the president plenty of time to wrap the unpopular demand around the necks of the GOP legislators before the 2014 midterm elections.

This guy is completely off his rocker... this is not your basic social liberal... he has an agenda to completely turn this country into a failure like france, spain, or greece.. and he is doing in the open. We now should all see why we are lagging the world in intelligence... these real world communists have so ingrained themselves into our culture they are producing unthinking socialist americans that have no concept of freedom, individualism, achievement, or intelligence...

President Obama's opening offer in 'fiscal cliff' talks includes $255 billion in stimulus spending – tax cuts, incentives, and more. It could be a bargaining ploy or a bid to offset rising taxes on the rich.
The largest chunk of the Obama plan is the extension of the payroll tax cut. This is the money that comes out of an individual’s paycheck as a contribution to Social Security. Two years ago, in an effort to stimulate the economy, Congress decreased the individual contribution from 6.2 percent to 4.2 percent. The employer’s contribution of 6.2 percent remained unchanged.

The President and Congress life style will remain the same, but for the rest of us it will
go down the Cliff.

"What [Obama] proposed this week was a classic bait and switch on the American people—a tax increase double the size of what he campaigned on, billions of dollars in new stimulus spending and an unlimited, unchecked authority to borrow from the Chinese," Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) said in Saturday's weekly GOP address.

"Maybe I missed it but I don’t recall him asking for any of that during the presidential campaign. These ideas are so radical that they have already been rejected on a bipartisan basis by Congress."

There are two things certain in this "fiscal cliff" drama;

1) Obama has no intention of any spending cuts
2) He is looking to force us over the cliff and get a new Bumper Sticker blaming Republicans

He views the destroying of our country as a minor price to pay for his extremist views to make this country not a land of equal opportunity but equal outcome through a government controlled economy.

is that what they told you on faux news??

that the administartion is playing games with the middle class??

that is a common enough tactic....

just throwing back the accusations...

the reich wing(including you I presume) are whinning over the tax rates going back up to clinton era levels...

that is the meat and potatoes involved in this debate
that is about as complex as this gets!!

how many ways can you misdircet and confuse people.....

if the rethuglican campaign for president this year was any indication?? this should be entertaining..

ps: there is going to be Much "offsetting of the rich"

which party do you think is insisting they get taken care of??

hint.....it is the party that is in control of the chamber that HASNT passed the bill (to extend JUst the middle class tax cuts) already passed by the senate, with the president waiting with an eager(already brandished) pen, to sign the bill....

you guys are obstructing the middle class getting a bush era tax cut...

with OUR wealthit looks like those bush tax cuts REALLY were meant only for the wealthy after all!! LOL!!

this is the kind of whining and kicking (with obligatory claims of bolshevism) that the welathy(and their surrogate party the rethuglicans) go through every time we need more money...

they capitalize on the markets WE create with our wealth in numbers?? why shouldnt they pay a fairer share of Upkeep on the society....????

ps: that quote at the end there sounds like it was written by a rich whinner, who doesnt want to pay his fair share of taxes, after capitalizing on the middle class he so dispises....

I think the Us should stay OUT of trade agreements....

this is one thing we have agreed on before..

nafta sucks..

and you guys will kick and scream the whole way....

like the little baby tharks in "john carter".
