Grand Junction police officer accused of sexual assault, burglary

Authorities say a Grand Junction police officer was in jail Friday after being arrested in a sexual assault and burglary investigation.

Sadly sexual abuse by police officers like Glenn Coyne is more common than people think. An AP article dated Oct 7th states that Glenn Coyne killed himself in Jefferson County in a hotel room more than 200 miles away.
Jefferson County sheriff's officials said Wednesday that 35-year-old Glenn Coyne had an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The hotel's housekeeping staff found Coyne's body Tuesday.
