Mojados, negros and chunts should be prohibited from owning such a dangerous dog, and made to buy liability insurance when they license the dog, if the owners are not insured they should be fined, or thrown in jail.

Also, why oh why did they leave the dog roaming after the attack?
The Paramedics maybe could have saved this child if they were able to get to him, instead of waiting for the Sheriff to get there and remove the obstacle between help and the child!!!!
This is a sad, sad story. Of course we are all posting in hindsight.
EXACTLY! If Grandpa couldn't control the dog, where was the father? The fact that the fire department had to retreat to their engines until the dog could be taken care of is horrbile. Besides, no one that has little kids should have that type of dog.

No matter the breed, a small child can pizz off a dog and they retaliate. If 'Toy' sized dogs had the size and strength you'd read about this type of tragedy everyday.

My condolences to the family.

OK bitch face. Why don't you ask Becky Carson. She lost her 11 year old son to a pack of pet pit bulls in Newberry Springs several years ago. Why don't you ask her if she has ever met an aggressive pitbull? I know Becky. I know what she went through when she held Cash as he lay dying in her arms. His throat was entirely ripped out. I am sure if you google Cash Carson, you will be able to read the story on what had happened. Due to the negligence of the owner of these demon dogs. F pit bulls and F people who love them!!

"F pit bulls and F people who love them!!"

Here here! This is a dangerous breed no matter how much people claim otherwise. The funny thing is the types of people that own these dogs never, ever learn, and they never will. You can't fix stupid. I know this sounds harsh, but at least it was the owner's kid and not some unrelated victim. They brought all of this pain on themselves.

Chihuahua's are popular with Mexican Americans yet I don't fear this breed, why is that? I'm not saying we all should own dogs that small, but let's get real about the inherent risks of certain breeds.

Use for target practice - paint a BIG BULLSEYE on each side and turn 'em loose in the desert.

Sure that dog was "friendly" - I feel for the family losing the kid though. Poor baby didn't deserve it.

all pit bulls should be udes for mystery meat and blended with chorizo, rolled in a tortilla, and sold as burritos al carbon, at your favorite roach coach.

I cannot believe how many idiots are really out there!! Do you really think pits are the only aggresive dogs out there? Wow,is that why polics drive around with german shepards??? Is that why businesses buy dobermans and rotts to protect their property?? Obviously none of you have EVER been around a responsible pit bull owner who knows how to train and control her pit!!! I truly pity all of you ignorant jerks....you are the ones who should be banned, used for taco/burrito meat or used for target practice!! And by the way,no I'm not Mexican or black,I'm a white woman with a college degree who works in the medical field!!!

The dog got a bad rap! It's should be the so-called adults who should go to jail!
The child should never been alone by himself with an mean dog. Something isn't right, this need to be looked at more. And another thing all dogs are not bad, it depends on the trainnig and love that the animal gets. I personally think that this dog was not treated right. I hope they look into it's owners background!! And the child I hope he's in heaven with the rest of the children who wasn't taken care right. I BELEIVE THE TRUTH WILL COME OUT, SOON.

banned those vicious dogs. I live next door to owner with pit bulls. They have 2 small children, dreading the day when one of those PB turns on the kids. NEVER LEAVE YOUR KIDS ALONE WITH A PITBULL, PLEASE

For a college degree white woman (as though that was necessary to mention) you sure are stupid. The reason why police use german sheperds is not only because of their aggressiveness but because of their loyalty, you bimbo. The same goes with the other breeds you mentioned. You just can't trust a pit, even if it's been raised by a devoted, loving owner. Whether you want to admit it or not, there have been numerous recorded attacks of pits on such owners. It's in their nature. You, madam, are the "ignorant jerk."

PS: don't have any children if you have a pit in your home. I'm quite sure your "medical" skills won't do any good.

How many of you pit bull fans would take in a renter in your home if he told you A) he carries a loaded gun at all times, and B) he reserves the right to lose his temper around children when they act inappropriately?

some things to view: 1- 3yr old child left alone; 2- pit bull; 3- 3yr old child left alone; 4- owner couldn't get dog tied up after attack; 5- 3yr old child left alone; 6- owners should be charged with criminal offense (no excuses of "they've suffered enough" bs); 7- did i mention 3yr old left alone. who cares if left alone with dog. 3yr old shouldn't be left alone-PERIOD! when are people that aren't much smarter than the dog going to learn. oh yeah, they don't.

You are close to the truth. Let me help you out:

1) 3 year old child left alone
2) pit bull left alone, with 3 year old child
3) child follows instincts
4) pit bull follows instincts

My guess is that 99 times out of 100, the pit bull wins and the child loses. Parents/guardians fault? Absolutely.

Society's fault for not restricting pit bull ownership? Absolutely.

You can stomp your feet, scream at the top of your lungs and vociferously maintain that pit bulls are NOT a vicious breed! NOTHING could be further from the truth!!
Next time you have some time on your hands, go to any number of local animal shelters and see HOW many PB or mixes thereof are behind bars!!!!!
Sadly, a baby lost his life because his family would NOT protect him from this VICIOUS animal!!
Common sense dictates that one does NOT keep little ones anywhere near this type of BEAST!!
Were it up to me, the whole breed would be wiped out. Persons owning such a breed would face the IMMEDIATE death of their "pet" as well as face a HUGE fine.
Notice how incredibly anger and defensive the PB lovers are? Seems a certain type of person owns that breed.
