Woman enlists neighbors to help

When Harriet Blume heard Family Service Association of Redlands needed donations for Thanksgiving baskets, she did not just go to the grocery store.

I already give to another charity besides I help my own children and their families get through these hard times myself. I notice that there are about 13 people working at Famiy Services Association. Are these people volunteers or payroll staff? If they are payroll staff, I think just like any other organization, their payroll takes most of the budget of this organization. Family Services use to be run by 100% volunteers. Payroll for these 13 people and the executive director must run in the 100s or 1000s of dollars. I don't think that this was how my own mother described this organization was during its early stages. Another question is, why are peoples names placed on your website? Are they the supposed do good people in the community. As a Christian we were thought to be humble and not even mention our name if we make a donation even when you are rich and well to do. Just a point I would like to make.
