New 14.5-acre park in Redlands

Redlands' newest park is nameless but now open to the public for picnicking and hiking.

How about naming it Rejuv Park? Rejuv for rejuvinating Redlands-which is the only positive option available to lift Redlands up since it's fall. Since this park is new, it could symbolize the first step toward positive change. You can only fall so far before getting back up.

How about Keep Out Park. Let's face it this park is for the residents of the nearby estates. Nobody else is wanted. There are no bathrooms, the location is secret, and the name unknown.

What a reason for getting a new park: "The agreement entailed a swap for open space in exchange for a portion of development fees." I agree with RCG. It would have been an EXCELLENT choice for a skateboard park!

Fact is, Redlands is a punk city. divided by the freeway. New HUD housing on the north, exclusive parks on the south.

Does anyone know how to get there from downtown? if so, how? It would have been appropriate for the reporter to let people know more than a street.
