More Redding and Shasta County California Homeless Beatings & Death's ? "Cruel and Inhumane" Redding Anti-Camping Ordinances ? Social Injustice ? Constitutional and Civil Rights Violations ?

Criminalize Homelessness ?

Families, Children, Veterans, everyone in this poor economy should have a safe place where... they can go at night and sleep without fear and their civil and constitutional rights violated... safe from extreme severe dangerous weather.

Why "Occupy" The Good News Rescue Mission you ask ?

For putting money over people, and putting corporate greed over human need.

Sorry, friend. It won't work. the mission has city hall and the cops in it's back pocket.
Between the three, they don't give a rip about the true homeless. There's no money in it.
I stopped in the mission one day, asking for a bus token. I'd been walking everywhere and my knees had swollen from my arthritis. I asked the clerk, and he asked for two pieces of ID, and my address.
I left. Not because I didn't have the information, but because I knew that they would use the data to get money from the state and federal government. Then the social security administration would be asking me why I'm staying at the mission when I have a legitimat address. Too many hassles for ONE bus ride.
