Will the people on 8thSt. with Rhodesian Ridgebacks front and back please feed you dogs. Animal cruelty is a felony in Oklahoma. If you have a white pitbull with sarcoptic mange near 10th st. please get your dog treated. Medication was offered to you. There seems to be a number of families in town where impaired thinking is very significant. As soon as I get more details I will be reporting people for animal cruelty. Our police can investigate violations of Oklahoma State Statutes without benefit of an animal control officers which we don't have by the way. Don't let the city tell us that there is no money for an animal control program just because they mismanaged funds.

Just less than a year ago Rick Rose killed an 18 year old pitbull that was crippled, deaf and nearly blind. Now he is protecting us as some kind of "policeman." He is a serial killer of dogs so I am happy to see him gone. Has a dog chained up in his backyard.....loves dogs so much.

Anyone else interested in dog catcher job?????

Lahoma- You crack me up!!! "Serial Killer of Dogs" when he was just doing his job. I am glad you are an animal lover, and I would not want the animal control officers job either, because I wouldn't have the heart to put them down, but sometimes that is what has to be done.

Perhaps your calling in life is to run an animal shelter and adopt all the poor animals that are being turned out on the street. Have you looked into how many more credit hours you would need to become a Vet? Then you could dispense the medicine and animal care advise for free for our community.
God Love you, your passion is great it just needs to be directed in the right direction.

I am sure I will see you Monday night, Rhonda

I have no desire or inclination to finance veterinary school, a shelter, or free services for irresponsible people who most likely would not take advantage of free services to help their dogs because they are irresponsible and thinking impaired due to substance dependency and/or neurological issues. Although the thinking impaired are a minority they cause most of the problems. Responsible people don't need a policeman to tell them that feeding their dog is required. Responsible people build fences for their dogs instead of chaining them for life. My passion is to help the helpless and I believe that God loves the animals so my passion is not misdirected. I am not held captive by the need to promote a business or to protect my political image - qualities that might steer the direction of your passion, maybe. I am free to be me. Free to expect that our city government be responsible and responsive by enforcing the rules/ordinances that I assume you voted for.

Absolutely agree with Lahoma. There is also a pup on veterans that is completely covered in mange and is obviously not being fed as it's ribs are starting to show. I seen him in the road in front of the house just before the trailer park just past Spaz's.

I think Rhonda had some sarcasm behind what she was telling you. Bottom line this town does not have the finances to keep a shelter up and running. So sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. I personally have spoiled inside dogs so I do agree with you there are a lot of cruel people. However I don't want to pay for other peoples mistakes and it doesn't sound like you do either.

Why do we not have money. Don't we have a city budget to manage? We are paying for the mistakes of our city government with a rare opportunity to vote on the decisions made that effect the citizens of this town. My pet peeves include new police vehicles and the full-time pay for a "consultant" at $25.00 per/hour. Even without a treasurer we only need someone there part-time to tend to bookkeeping. I may be missing some of the information that I need to say that definitively, however.

I'm not suggesting that we have the money to finance a shelter right now. But there are interested people working on trying to get things together for one in the future and to make recommendations to improve services. Please join us the last Wednesday of each month @ 5:30 p.m.@ city hall and lend us your brain and a little time and effort. I think there are a couple of people on the council who are hoping I will give up and go away. That is precisely why I will not give up and go away. And...I did get the sarcasm. Frankly, I'd be embarrassed to go on record by saying it is the policy of our city to take dogs out in the woods and shoot them and then leave them there without being disposed of properly in a way that poses a potential public health problem.......

Hmmmm, What do you mean "So sometimes you just have to do what you have to do"??? Are you saying the city should allow people to do these kind of things to these animal? Do you think its ok for them to turn their heads and act like its not happening? because thats what they are doing! You think because they have misused their funds that we gave them that its ok to use what they have left on things they want and not want the town wants? If they would do their job in animal control alone they could generate the money to build and run a shelter.

Are you sure you are fully educated on how a small town runs? I hear all these people saying " Talihina can afford cop cars yada yada" well they came from a thing called a GRANT. Its inevitable that there will always be problems beyond full control. Do you also want to help all the people on ssi sitting at home so they can drive new cars and have nice houses like other people do. FYI I have nothing to do with the city but I do pay a lot of money in taxes. I appreciate your kind heart, as it is exactly that, kind. Just please make sure you are educated on how a small town is run and certain choices that have to be made. For instance like replacing the water lines that were outdated. Sure our water is gross and the lines seem like they weren't important but they did take a step in the right direction. If you want the animals to be helped then get out there and help them. There are plenty of people that would like to help, as well I would be willing to help you fundraise money.

If it bothers you that bad, buy a bag of dog food and start feeding them. That's what I've done in the past. Your conscience will be clear, and you can stop bitching about the skinny dogs to everyone on here. It's a win win! For us and the dogs anyway

We would love to have more people join us just to see what we can accomplish when we join our efforts. There are more people trying than I knew about. Find me in the directory and give me a call. You don't have to commit full-time or for life. Just give us your ideas.

Only reason his dog is chained is because the dog got hurt at his mothers house when the wolves attacked him. I have my dogs in a pen. Does that make me a person who is cruel to animals? No, I don't think so. Yes, I sometimes don't agree. But, I seen some of the animals he had to deal with and let me tell you, they weren't nice. Maybe you should worry about the pack of dogs that are running around. A pack of dogs cornered a kid by the pool this past summer. If a dog is trying to bite or attack, I wont hesitate to kill it. I have a family to protect, and I will. I agree with "Excuse me" Don't gripe about animal cruelty on the internet. Get out there and help the animals. I do when I can, but taking 27 hours of college credit and getting ready to graduate in 25 days is hard. If I see a dog going hungry I buy its food no matter what dog it is. We had an animal shelter years ago and look how that turned out. People don't want to put an effort into it. But you turn around and gripe out it. Today I will go buy and see the dogs you mentioned and I will look myself (getting a degree in vet) I will report to peta if its bad. But since your griping about Rick Rose maybe you should look at Buzz or the Mcgees and see how many dogs they have. Which, mind you is 1 unhealthy for the animals, to have that many and be in a small running area. 2, fed live animals (mind you the wolves attacked some dogs here lately) 3. They try and attack if it wasn't for that fence some kid would have been killed by now) So before you start on someone maybe you should look at everyone.

I live on church street. You say Rick is the "serial killer of dogs" maybe you should look at buzz or mcgees. A Mcgee slit a dogs throat because the dog kept barking. Buzz feeds his wolves live animals so when he releases them, they'll know how to hunt. Are you kidding me? He lives in the middle of town and is near a school and a daycare at that. It wont surprise me when a kid gets attacked because of his stupidity.

WOW are you serious?? I knew there had been several dogs in that area for years now. I know the mcgees are bad with their dogs but I didn't know buzz was raising wolves to release and is doing it in the middle of town at that...how long has that been going on?? I mean if lahoma hadn't of lot such a fire under everyones ass here lately nothing would probably been done. And another thing does buzz release his wolves nearby?? Because I'm an avid hunter and here lately it progressing on the number of huge dogs I'm seeing. I wanna tell myself their coyotes because there shouldn't be very many wolves around here but some of them are crazy huge. And they have a spookiness about them because they don't act very afraid of a person like they have been in captivity before. Im just concerned it's having a effect around here also in the wildlife. These big wolf like coyotes have tried to take a rabbit kill away from a friend of mine while he was hunting in the woods. if buzz is releasing around here it definitely needs to be known for outdoorsman sake!

I don't think he has released them. I think he has been keeping them in his house. Buzz isn't raising wolves to release them. He is raising them to sell them. But their not normal wolves. Their inbred. He keeps a male and a female from a litter and they have puppies and he tries to sell them. That's why their crazy and not afraid. My Cousin has a wolf and let me tell you, that wolf is a big baby. Eats dog food and milk and little weenies that come in a can. He loves to be petted and everything. Buzz's wolves aren't like that at all! A lot of people has went and complained on buzz before lahoma. But someone goes and pays his fine every time. He's been here for a while now. He didn't have much wolves at all. Until they started getting pregnant left and right. Mcgees and Buzz split the wolves. So buzz wouldn't keep getting in trouble for having too much. In my opinion Buzz is teaching them so when someone pisses them off, he'll release them in town. He is 3 blocks away from the school and a bunch of kids walk down that road. It would be a massacre. before anyone knew what was happening. Buzz says he is in this "New World Order" where it states he is pretty much above the law. He could've released some. He say so many I couldn't tell you. I witnessed buzz tying up a little lamb and letting the dogs attacked it. The horrible cries I heard when it happened. He had a chicken and same thing. He let the wolves attack it. Since the law about getting a permit for your dog was approved in town, I haven't seen much of them at all. I think he keeps them in his house. But I couldn't tell you for sure. When the wolves got out and attacked a little dog next door to him, It was bad. 3 wolves was playing tug of war with the dog. When Buzz tried to get the dog away, a wolf bit him. So they have a taste of human blood. He could've released them but like I said before I really don't know. You could drive by and see. He already stated before that we would shoot someone before they got into his yard. I go hunting now and then and hiking but I haven't seen anything. I been finding a lot of dead dogs around airport road. One dog well didn't even look like a dog at all. Big, muscled. It was Huge. I thought it was half something But I couldn't tell. Went yesterday and the body of that dog is still there but the head is gone. and the Golden retriever not far from it is gone to. So if he did release his wolves then no wonder their staying near town. If dogs go missing out near there, they probably think a wolf or coyote got it. Hell I even seen a dead beaver yesterday. For the many years I lived here I never seen a beaver. I have noticed all these animals showing up dead. It could be something in the water or the wolves. I don't know for sure. Buzz still has wolves because they howl at 2-3 at night every night.

Letís get some of these spurious allegations against Buzz right shall we. I for one am getting rather sick and disgusted by the comments made on these forums, which is nothing more than a Ďwitch huntí against someone who does not deserve this treatment. This is a man who would give the shirt of off his back and who has unbounded forgiveness, even to those you donít deserve to be forgiven. The perpetrators of these lies and false allegations seem determined to stir up trouble where there is none, why? Ask yourselves that question before you judge someone. Fact (1) None of Buzzís wolves have been released in the town or anywhere else for that matter. Fact (2) Buzz does not feed his animals live animals. Fact (3) Buzzís wolves are people friendly as anyone who has been to his home can testify, and there are many people who have been to his house from all over Oklahoma and beyond, his wolves are friendly, well adjusted animals, much more so than any regular dogs, they donít growl, show any aggression and just love to be petted. Fact (4) Buzz has never tied a baby lamb and let the wolves attack it, or any other animal for that matter (this is pure fantasy). Fact (5) Buzz does not breed his wolves for a living, nor does he keep a male or female from each litter for this purpose, animals have babies, babies need homes, he sells them for a very small price just to cover their food costs. Fact (6) There was mention of an incident with the next door neighborís dog, that animal was not injured in any way, Buzzís wolf did not bite him, it was the dog that bit him when he got hold of it. Fact (7) Buzzís wolves have never bitten anyone or even shown the slightest inclination of biting anyone. Fact (8) Buzzís wolves are very well contained any incidences of them getting out have been few and far between and when this has happened it has been human error not because of bad containment. Fact (9) The only time the wolves howl is when there is some idiots who let their dogs roam the neighborhood or a siren goes off (I would like to challenge anyone whose dogs donít bark under the same circumstances, the wolves howling is only more noticeable because of that, they howl rather than bark). So letís stop this nonsense and put things into perspective, and all I can say to these people who are waging this deplorable vendetta against Buzz and his wolves is get a life, find something more charitable and meaningful in your lives and I hope your conscious and you God can forgive you.
