Evangelist Tony Alamo has been sentenced to 175 years in federal prison for child sex convictions.

All through the 70's everytime my friends and I would go to a concert..we would get bombarded by this scumbag and his wife's foundation. Putting us down. Screaming about Jesus. It always looked like a cult or at the very least some kind of creepy group. Well here we are decades later and our feelings about this sleezebag were justified. It's so sad that many people who are mentally ill can hide behind religion. With God in our lives, we have discernment from the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us. Some behavior's displayed in so-called christians should raise red flags. Disception is satan.s greatest weapons against us. Children are so fragile, we as parents have to do whatever's necessary to protect them from religious fakes. I'm thankful he was exposed, but also sorry Mr. Alamo allowed himself to be used by satan, when he could have been helped by knowing and accepting Jesus, the one he took for granted.

That's why I despise the Bible-thumping evangelists who use their authority, their power, and their biblical knowledge to get what they want. I'm not in awe of priests, bishops, cardinals, personalities like Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Bakker, Joel Osteen,....Never have been.

Just curious, why can't God Himself just come down here and eradicate everything that's evil??? When Sodom and Gomorrah were the epitome of evil, God was there to destroy them; when He saw that the world was becoming more and more wicked in its ways, God was there to bring the Great Flood; when He sent Moses to Egypt to retrieve the captured Israelites, God was there to help Moses and to punish Egypt with the 10 plagues; when He saw the Amalekites attacking His people, the Israelites, God was there to aid the Israelites. Is there a big difference between the often-cruel God of the Old Testament and the loving God of the New Testament???

I may have read the article to fast but are these children from families that attended his church? If yes. Are the parents somewhat responsible? Did they allow this to happen?

Crossing state lines for the purpose of having sex with a minor results in a more severe punishment than if the perv just stayed in one state. It makes it a federal crime as well. Personally, I think they should kill them all and let God sort them out. Damn Pedophiles...
