Wow thats wonderful, this will so help the state, bring revenue to locations that need it most, fabulous Yippie.
C'mon get real, as big as the jackpot was a "second place winner" would be a very big payday, which is what I read the GC winner was, that would be 5 numbers right? If the Illinois winners were smart they'd get out of Illinois. Goodbye revenue.

The majority of the quick shop owners that sell most of the lotto tickets are foreigners, so you can bet that for the most part the share they receive will not be a benefit to the revenue of the state Illinois. And on top of that the taxes on the sales of tickets and taxes on winners sure and the hell ain't going to where it should be going to, schools and roads.

I have to agree with you on that, I recently read where these lottos, claim to give some of the revenue to local schools, but a indepth investigation was done on those lotterys and it was dicovered those funds were only given to the top rated schools holding a A+++ rating, this eliminated poor economic areas because the familys could not hire private tutors, and therfore their grade levels did not meet the requirements to be awarded those benefits, I was shocked when I read this, because I had just figured it was distributed equaly, but in fact they make it easy for the wealthy private schools to get all the money so your right, it does nothing for the schools roads, but I also dicovered those who run the lotterys get paid handsomly, they are truly the winners, I have to wonder will we find out one day its all a scam?
