So if Dave Gregson the New President of RBAA is no longer going to let Eli run the adult softball leagues who is Dave putting in his place????

Still confused why Eli is being run off from running the leagues other than the fact he was nominated to run against Dave for President of RBAA. Dave won the election so guess he has to puff up his chest at let everyone know HE is in charge.

Thing is Eli took pride in running the leagues and making the diamonds look good and put a lot of hours into the complex and other diamonds in town hope the replacement has his heart into making sure the diamonds look as good as he did.

Eli just liked to line his own pockets. Glad someone else is going to take over running the diamonds.

That is your reason? He is lining his pocket. Do you think it should be done for free? Good luck with that.

Why does Dave not want Eli to run the adult leagues??

Has Dave or the RBAA Board asked the majority of the teams/players that have played under Eli the last 5 years their opinion??

I have played Coed for many years and can tell you Eli has made huge improvements in the Coed League.

I don't always agree with all the decisions he makes but I respect he stands behind them.

Last year was one of the better years of Coed Softball I have played at the complex and look forward to more seasons organized by Eli.

we as a group will follow eli if he takes his league to another diamond. which i hope he does to prove a point.the diamonds will not survive if eli leaves. dave quit being a prick and let eli do his job out there. remember dave you own a business in this town and people will remember this if you do that to the league.

If Eli was smart he would get out now. Even if he is allowed to come back next year it sounds like some people will make it difficult on him since they don't want him there for what ever reason.

Eli puts a lot of pride into the complex while I'm sure he makes some money while doing this he also works his ass off to make sure the leagues play and his tournaments happen which in turn makes money for the RBAA.

Hoping the other RBAA board members ask around what us softball players want or think before backing Dave and running Eli away from the complex.

Well I was at the meeting when Eli asked for 30-60 days for the RBAA Board to make a decision if they were going to continue to allow him to run the softball leagues or not. We are fast approaching the 60 day deadline and would like to hear the answer to his request. I would like for it to take place at an official RBAA meeting that way it would be in the minutes so the answer along with discussion can be on record!!

I would have to agree with others that Eli put a lot of work into the diamonds which benefited not only the adult softball but also the RBAA.

i guess you work for free. if he is going to put the time in at the ball fields he should make some money in it.i for onehave played out there for years and between eli and jim no one worked that hard on the fields like they did. so if big dave wants to get rid of eli it will be a major mistake.

No, I don't work for free, and I also I don't dip into funds (or free food/beer) that aren't mine just because I think I deserve them.

Well said. I don't play ball any more (too old) but have a lot of friends that do play and umpire there. Since Eli took over the differance in the condition of the ball fields has much improved. That takes a lot if work and dedication to keep it that way. To have good fields for the players is a must. It reduces injuries, makes for good games for people to watch and keeps other teams coming back for tournaments. Why mess with a good thing? I'm sure if he did'nt feel he was getting paid enough he would say something or he wouldnt do it at all. keep him there as long as you can. I just hope he is still taking care of the fields when my grand kids start playing softball.
