I am asking everyone to boycott Tequillas.
If they are going to hire those kind of people that come into our community and comit horrible crimes. We do not need to go there and give them our money. We need to run all of the Illegals our of our town.

I agree that it is terrible that happened to that woman. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent, and if they're here illegal the owner needs to be arrested as well.

Is it definite that the employees are illegal? Without knowing that for a fact, it's just spreading rumor and causing discord to say they're illegal. I feel sorry for those that are here legally, because they're going to catch crap for just being of foreign descent.

Also, just because they can't speak English doesn't mean they're illegal. Many of the ancestors of the people in Red Bud couldn't speak English either.

I could not agree more!! Boycott Echerts also and turn in Gilster Mary Lee they are the ones bringing them in to Southern IL! Its time for a little vigilantism if you ask me!!If you get called for jury duty involving any illegals be sure to convict!!!The Government will NOT do anything about them so its our responcability to defend our children and families and their future!!

As for me and my house, we will NEVER frequent that restaurant. May they close, leave town and never come back. ALL of them.

This sentiment is all well intended I'm sure, but the nature of this thing is the sort that I wish never made it online at home. Organization for support is great, but given the way these forums go now its going to be a topic, and no doubt get ugly, for way longer than any victim should have to endure. Please think for a minute before you post if you absolutely have to, but all you'll be doing is holding wounds open when you do. These words will most likey be permanent. I for one am going to request it taken down, no matter how well its intentioned.

this 'vermin' admitted that he is here as an illegal. guess he thinks he'll be deported and able to avoid prosecution. if he's here illegally and being PAID (to rape our citizens)- why should he have to adhere to the rules of our country OR our society? take your violent spanish-speaking @#!@#! back to your country of orgin(after bubba finds you, that is) and load the truck up with the rest of your ILLEGAL relatives and STAY THERE--we don't want you here. PERIOD.

Once again, "the Great and Powerful A-non" speaks. I consider myself to be of reasonable intelligence. But, that little rambling post makes absolutely no sense at all. Yes, some people will probably post some "ugly" messages. Well, here is a newsflash for you. You are not the one who gets to decide what people are allowed to say, think or type. Tequilas, as a business, did not use due diligence to protect the public from this criminal. I think that if they plan on hiring illegal aliens to profit from cheap labor, then we as a community have the right to deny them of our hard earned cash. I would hope that even you could understand that. Please explain to me, how boycotting this establishment will be "holding wounds open". I don't know the victim, but, I am fairly certain that neither she, nor her family and friends will be running up there for margaritas and chips anytime soon. Have you considered that if we stop frequenting this business, and they leave town, we could possibly be preventing another crime like this? Probably not, you are way too arrogant to see both sides. Continuing to support Tequilas and the illegals that they hire will do nothing to close any wounds. It will however, continue to send a message that we, as a community, will tolerate and look the other way as they continue to make our town a less safe place to live. So, yes, BOYCOTT TEQUILAS!!! SEnd them a message that they can take these criminals, and yes an illegal alien is a criminal, and get out of town now!!!

Oh, and one more thing, I have recently been accused of being a-non. I hope this will once and for all end that. I would have to lose several I.Q. points to be that smart.

You people can boycott all you want, how many of you boycotters are regular customers? Bet the parking lot is packed tonight. You will have no impact on the establishment when there isn't much to choose from

I am a frequent customer and so are others in my family. We would drive to Waterloo just to go there before one opened up here. We have all talked about this and won't be going there for a long time if ever.

This is a good point. The best option for people is to pickett in front of the restaurant. But then really, who is that going to hurt? The restaurant brings in revenue to the city, and provides jobs to residents (and apparently illegal aliens). Whoever is truly at fault here for not verifying citizenship should be arrested.

One bad apple doesn't spoil the bushel.

I drove by last night and the parking lot was full. I am one that is boycotting Tequilas - and I LOVE their food. But I agree that we need to stand together as a community and support one of our own. She didn't deserve this!

. I'm not defending tequilas at all, just wishing that this thread didn't hafta be here, for all eternity(or however long people keep commenting, keeping it in the forefront). There IS an innocent victim, and I didn't mean tequilas. As for making decisions, well, thats up to the moderator. I made a suggestion out of compassion and stated my opinion, I'm entitled to it, just like you are yours. The wound being held open is the assault victims who can't ever look at topix for any reason cuz this'll be here with god knows what in it by that time, another reminder of something I'm sure the person would rather forget as soon as possible. Not to mention it could be used as a reason for a cahange of venue for the trial, pushing it away from the people of the jury who SHOULD decide it. If you thought I meant anything else you really don't read enough of my posting to know what I'm about. I may have rambled a tad but most of my point I thought was pretty clear.

I'm amazed that a person would rent a house zoned as a "single resident" to a group of people like they did. But I guess when the owner of the restaurant rents the house for them, it's all legal and money talks? Where is our Zoning Adm at?

I suggest we get a wagon load all of them up at Tequilas and then go to the square and pick up the trash that is working at Gianfranco's and haul them all out of town!!

Oh come on a-non!!!! Aren't you constantly posting on the waterloo forum about the guy that had sex with a minor? Pretty sure you won't let that one die down. I guess that's ok since YOU have had trouble with that guy and his friends. Let me get this straight...if someone posts their thoughts and a-non agrees it's ok. If someone posts their thoughts and a-non doesn't agree the thread must come down.GET OVER YOURSELF A-NON!! The lady that was attacked in Red Bud is just as much of a victim as the girl in Waterloo. "Really Now" I hear you loud and clear.I'll see you out back with a Stag and a smoke :)..meanwhile my thoughts and prayers are with ALL sexual abuse victims. Nobody should be violated in that manner.
