. That rumors been around since the doors opened. He would definately benefit from a regular weekly ad though. Moron spends 500bucks on bands but wont advertise. I'm guessing he'll still be around for awhile though.

I actually like the 'V'. I went there last week and had a better time than any of the other places. I'd say put another pool table in, turn off those lights over the tables, add some more lights under those retro cubes under the bar, bartender shakes for the juke box, turn it up (make sure it isn't goofy kiddie krap) and call it a great night.

I'm not into bashing, but I will say this. I don't like a bar where I can't hear myself think. I don't like a bar that stinks. I don't like a bar that has wrong lighting. And don't like a bar where I have to worry about some fool having a psychotic moment. Need I say more?

I work in a place that stinks, has bad lighting, has psychotics. I don't want a bar that has that. I want a bar where all the women look good. I can talk and have someone to argue with and hear them. And I like a good fight, not some stupid idiot crap. I want to see a fight. Best fight I saw was when a guy climbed up on top of a freaking giant's head while he was standing and looking goofy, brought him down like a coon on a hound in a river and then lets him go when he cries "mercy!" and then wimp buys the bar a round.

He runs the help off???? how about the help isn't very helpful. They step all over him. The second he needs anybody to step in for somebody else's sudden "I forgot to tell you I couldn't work tonight" - nobody is around. Some wouldn't even restock the night before because "they got too busy". Yeah right, how about they let their friends drink in there until dawn when it was closed. And Just because you're a bartender doesn't mean you aren't an employee. It's still a job. Most of those women wouldn't even show up on time, Dave would ask why they were late and the next thing you know it's attitude all over the place. It was a simple question.
I do understand, though, that there's clearly a displacement of respect in the work field there. He needs to understand it's a business and you can't always be friends with the employees. And they need to understand it's a job. Just because you don't want to be there doesn't mean you can't just not show up. Give and take is what you need when a paycheck's involved.

The V is still open daily. The regulars at the V are plenty and very happy with the venue and the help.

The banquet hall upstairs is still a good place for a party, and the lanes are as well.

Yeah, it's dark and it smells like a bar. The barmaids can have a little attitude, especially Ruthy. Just kidding Ruthy, you know we love you. It's a bar! Enjoy it for what it is.

. The incidents in question at the time of these couple of postings were all on dave. He's mostly a nice guy with the problems you mentioned, but he doesn't have a certain filter that keeps him from cutting throats in simple arguments, its cost him friends, employees, and customers. The biggest problem is he only hires friends. He needs solid, attractive, customer attentive help. The best he has is steph, occasionally. Remember how busy sundays were when the little blond worked? Too bad she was nuts.
