I worked and lived at this hotel for 4 years. I never seen or heard about any ghosts. It was called the Cloyd hotel then. I called and talked to the owners that own it now and told them they
must have brought the ghost with them......

Several people have died there over the years so maybe it is haunted. I have heard about a drowning in that swimming pool also so it could be.

I've lived here all my life and have never heard anything about it being haunted. I agree, $300 per ticket is absolutely rediculous...

From what I saw on Paranormal State, a little girl died in room 37, then some guy died on the bridge coming on to the property. There is some "whistling man" that walks the hallways, there is some kind of ghost in the lobby of a man in a civil war uniform, a kid that drowned in the pool, two guys were fighting and one got thrown over the railing and died, so I'd say there is quite a few haunts there, plus the hotel is on the corner of and interseting road, two intersecting creeks, in the middle of an old indian trail and a lay line, not to mention all the underground water and caverns that it is built on. So it sounds like a cool place to check out if you ask me, plus celebrities from Ghost Hunters are going to be there.

This place is no more haunted than Waverly Hills.
I have no doubt about ghosts, by the way. I am a Hospice nurse and.. well it's not important. These people are cashing in, just like the money whores at Waverly. Funny people have been going there for years and nothing. Then all of a sudden Ghost Chaser shows pop up all over the idiocy that is "Reality TV" And boom! Got spirits in every place, everywhere, ANYONE has died! People are buying abandoned buildings an labeling them as haunted to make money. Sadly any where there may very well be the spirits of dead, they deserve respect. Not exploited for money, by people who will also pass one day. If they are trapped they too may prey to greed.

I called the owners of the hotel that are running the place and told them I lived there and worked there for 4 years and that they are full of BS they are no ghost and they did not argue with me about it. They did invite me to stop in when I return to Red Boiling for a visit.

My husband and I went and stayed there in late February and we didn't experience or "feel" anything. We stayed in the Suite. We talked to another couple that stayed in Sarah's room (#37) and they said they experienced someone messing with their feet and then another group was running down the halls at 10:30 pm with flashlights asking if there were any ghosts. They said their flash light went crazy in several areas including Sarah's room. Regardless, this is an awesome place to stay with alot of history and well worth the stay. The family that now owns it makes you feel at home and I would highly suggest staying there whether it's for a weekend getaway or a "ghost hunt". I will be going back. It was very relaxing.
