BORDC has drafted a resolution that gives any city or town the opportunity to raise its voice in defense of due process and the right to trial. Cities, counties, and even states across America have already begun mobilizing, and the first resolution opposing the NDAA has already passed in El Paso County, CO, home of the US Air Force Academy. Could your city or town be next? Thank you for posting this.It speaks volumes.

Leroy's telling you the truth...he told me right after he jumped my case for befriending you that he wouldn't rat you out. He said he wasn't that kind of a Guy. The problem is that I have no idea what there is to rat you out over...I just hope it's nothing bad because I like you...always have, for some strange reason, that I can't explain! But, OA's got more sense than I have, but not as much stubbornness, I guess!:) "INVADED"? Invaded? You have the wrong idea. Peter Beinart: Why the Press Needs to Crash More Fundraisers by Peter Beinart Sep 24, 2012 1:00 AM EDT
The press needs to storm the only place pols tell the truth.
Print Email Comments (67)
Of the many things that the now-legendary Mitt Romney Boca Raton video has revealed, perhaps the most important is this: the real presidential campaign is the one the public doesn’t see. Sure, Romney and President Obama fly around the country giving speeches and doing media interviews. And sure, they occasionally use those speeches or interviews to unveil some policy nugget that helps Americans understand what they might do in office. But for the most part, their public performances are just that: performances. They speak in calculated, glittering generalities. The throngs who crowd into their rallies never get the chance to probe deeper, and when interviewers do, the candidates artfully deflect their toughest questions, knowing full well that any interviewer who inquires too relentlessly is unlikely to get many future interviews. A armored limousine waits for President Obama outside a New York fundraiser last week.(Brendan Smialowski / AFP-Getty Images)
The more honest discussions take place behind closed doors, in the innumerable private fundraisers that Romney and Obama do with their big givers. Honesty, in fact, is part of what those donors are paying for. No one shells out $50,000 to listen to the same platitudes that Joe and Mary Six-Pack hear at a 5,000-person rally in Akron, Ohio. In the “skybox” society (in Michael Sandel’s parlance) in which we live, the super-rich don’t simply stand in different lines at the airport; they experience a different presidential campaign.
It’s not that the remarks candidates offer to donors bear no resemblance to their publicly stated views. They just express those views in a franker, less scripted, less sanitized way. Publicly Romney derides big government. Privately he told Florida donors this spring that he might slash the Department of Education and eliminate Housing and Urban Development—specifics he had not shared with ordinary Americans. Publicly Romney accuses Obama of wanting to make Americans dependent on government. Privately he tells donors that half the country is composed of whiners who want to be dependent on government. Publicly Romney praises Israel and criticizes the Palestinians. Privately he says he opposes his own party platform’s stated commitment to a Palestinian state.
Similarly, Barack Obama publicly talks about the economic frustrations of working-class Americans

As long as he lets the people the state be "heard", then who gives a shit if he is a republican, democrat, liberal,co nservative, retarded, blind, crip pled, former blood or crip, animal molester, serial killer, failing student in school, gambler, or god forbid in this shallow ass states mindset a man other than WHITE, OOOO god!. You can vote all fucking day, and if you really think it makes a difference then go amuse yourself, once you realize your vote literally means nothing, maybe you will worry about other issues at hand, way larger than the next crook in line. Your very representatives regardless of what dumbass animal he chooses, to represent him. Is going to be completely TOLD what he can and can not do by higher level legislation. Its enjoyable watching only the people in the illusion, they have such "control" of what really happens in your state or country. Our own damn national bill of rights, has been broken so many times, and are continuing to be broken more and more everyday, but no one gives a shit about that or feels helpless. But will admit, it is beyond amusing to watch people who truly believe their vote matters in ANY shape or form. The government truly gives you an imaginary line of slack in your ever so tightening leash, and its more than enough to satisfy and blind our entire nation, besides the ones woke up to the truth, that we literally have no rights and never have. We all have baby bullshit privileges that, we confuse for rights and a "say so". Even these bullshit filled privileges are being took away slowly and slowly. Dont think so, then gladly ask someone who has been trying to warn you or just do some REAL fucking research on your own. Only vote ANY human in this nation should be casting, is to overthrow our entire bullshit government from your local mayor, all the way up to the bullshit president position. If you even more sadly believe your "president" runs your country, thats even more steps you have to go to realize the truth. In case any that does, do you LITERALLY believe ONE man has the ability to make rules and regulations of an entire nation, without being in a dictatorship? Or simply have the ability to make decisions on EVERY single aspect of life for the country, let alone keep a solid economy. Also make the argument about his "staff" who helps the president(look at their qualifications). Look and see who pays their fucking payrolls. It sure as shit NOT your tax money. If it was, dont you think you would GET to pick your own laws and taxes, without being told what to do. Thats like owning your own fucking billion dollar private company, and the employees telling you when and how YOUR going to do EVERY thing.

After years of an incumbent whose approval rating hangs just below 50, the angry opposition, hoping to find the most electable candidate, eventually chooses the tall, multimillionaire Massachusetts moderate with a history of changing his positions. He never really excites the base, but he's electable. The incumbent has other ideas, attacking what should be the challenger's greatest strength as a major weakness all summer long. The challenger picks a fresh faced, charismatic man from a state that usually votes from the other party- but he soon has a reputation as an all-around scuzzbucket. The conventions give the challenger a resounding thud, while he gets slammed by the incumbent during his own. The incumbent blows open the lead as one speaker after another slams the challenger and everything he stands for. The incumbent's base is angry enough- they fill theaters to see a movie about how terrible the president is. But the rage towards the president never leads to actual enthusiasm for the challenger-'just stop the bleeding' might as well be their motto. They hold on hope that things just need to stay close- on election day, surely, the masses will rise up and give them the extra few percentage points they need. Surely, the last election was just a fluke- right?

Everyone truly is afraid to admit that their political affiliation means as much, as your baby teeth. Yet its alright to ignore me, but ignoring that your vote means nothing to who gets elected, is the shit thats truly wrong with the country. Oh wow Obama is a muslim...so we better not vote for him, based on the reason 10% of ALL muslim religion is only far radical, and the other 90% is more pure than any christian there is. Im guessing most believe him and his "democrats" are destroying the already destroyed economy and country. Along with his twisted people who only seek blood and vengeance, who scream SUPPORT the troops, but never support the thousand of families and children, we have butchered in just the middle east, regardless of everywhere else. Romney, only appeals to people who only hate Obama (simple fact). Cause if you truly believe Romney is a possible answer, regardless of some shit tax returns. Why dont you investigate the people backing his campaign? You will find the real "leaders" of the GLOBE, who ARE the ones who TRULY shape and form our "rules". Stop being so "proud" to be Americans, and dont even know WHAT THE FUCK, your so proud of.

Not A REPUBLICAN; DAVID BROOKS: MITT ROMNEY IS 'THE LEAST POPULAR CANDIDATE IN HISTORY'- WHAT ARE YOUR COMMENTS?* Video at http://tinyurl.com/8w26myu DAVID BROOKS: MITT ROMNEY IS 'THE LEAST POPULAR CANDIDATE IN HISTORY'- Chris Gentilviso reports: "After a rocky week that saw plenty of conservatives break away from Mitt Romney, New York Times columnist David Brooks summed up the state of affairs on Sunday. "Brooks was one of several panelists on NBC's 'Meet The Press' roundtable, which dove into some data surrounding Romney's popularity. "'Look at his high unfavorable ratings,' host David Gregory said.'At 50%. The highest of any candidate running in recent memory. This is an image problem that his philosophical statements in this speech in May to fundraisers only exacerbates.' "Brooks did not mince words, calling Romney 'the least popular candidate in history.'"
