Dear Ms. Cressy, I fail to see how Mr. Blankenship is helping you out. Continue watching the correct channel on TV. It seems to be the only one telling the American people the truth. Continue to save your money, Ms. Cressy. You may need it if this economic disaster gets any worse. Although our leaders pushed their stimulus plans (on borrowed money that we may never be able to repay) to get people to spend OUR TAX monies, it backfired big-time. You see, they failed to take into account a little thing called, "Economic Uncertainty."

From Forbes: "Every sentient being knows that the U.S. faces serious fiscal problems, but there is a lot of uncertainty about how EXTENSIVE they are."

Also from Forbes: "The Bureau of Economic Analysis reports that U.S. Corporations are sitting on 1.6 trillion in cash reserves, a record amount, because they are reluctant to expand in this UNCERTAIN POLICY ENVIRONMENT."

This current government has informed us that the recession is over. REALLY? True unemployment is around 20%. Shasta and Tehama County's are around 16% and who knows what the true unemployment is around these parts.

I will agree with Mr. Blankenship on one thing, however. It is true that "stupidity is doing the same thing over, and over again expecting a different result." Obama (many refer to him as Obama-Bin-Lyin) continues to make the same mistakes that FDR made. He, of course, is getting the same results.

2012 can't come soon enough for our country.

Mr. Tzu I will be surprised if we have a country left by 2012! Obama not Ben-Lyin to the muslims, just to to the Americans.

The problem with the people like Ron Paul, is that they are saying what we want to hear. But what they are really saying is that they will cut all regulations and regulatory agencies, so our waters will be even more polluted, our necessities will become even more dear, our food will be more toxic and our air unbreathable. That is what will really happen when they cut the government. He talks about 10% tax across the board, so a mother struggling to give her child milk will have to deny some of it to pay her taxes, while a rich man can sit back and get richer in their private, safe and organic places.

U.S Corporations sitting on 1.6 TRILLION. Waiting for more EPA rules to be abolished, more tax breaks to be given. SO BE IT, if jobs can't be created until Corporate America, gets all it wants to line its pockets. That includes the BIG business of health , drugs, patient care. Those almight dollars come first.

I wish people would use their remote control to watch other t.v shows, and their computers and papers to read other viewpoints.

Agreed, the problem is that politicians will use this information to get us to vote for them, but yet will instead remove more regulations so the wealthy get wealthier.

2012??? What's that gonna do? You people need to learn that next elections is just more of the same...America has gone too long since revolution and like all great nations they all fall at some point.IMO over peoples lack of control over power and greed (human nature). It has to happen we are faster sliding to total fascism, police state control, corp government ,mass media control (we are blind to what's going on in the world),and a country that has a war based philosophy and economy. With extreme ignorance based on a our childrens lack of proper eduction we will have a heck of a time getting out of this mess. Do not think politics or some new person elected is going to change a thing ...they want to stay rich and powerful.

greed is actually more a manifestation of poor child rearing. A child raised with nurturing and touch as a baby, and respect as a child, grows into a generous, kind and respectful adult.

Education is key to understanding what is going wrong.

Rich people also abuse their kids by hiring nannies who smile at their bosses and silently abuse their children. The children also suffer lack of close bonds, making them more hungry and cruel.

Greed is normal, because bad parenting is normal.

I totally agree.Until people get back control of their own freedoms, the outlook is bleak. Society today seems to be turning out apathetic, lazy, and greedy young adults.Big government,be it flavored right or left, is still our biggest threat. It has become a self perpetuating all-consuming parasite that will in the end kill it's host.( the American people). When the host dies so does the parasite. You are right Now One, History has shown that every civilization no matter how large and powerful, will fall.We all need to think about that and work to preserve our freedom.

A lot of corporate America is reluctant to let go of their money in fear the LAWLESSNESS of the financial industry and the reality that nobody is home at the US Justice Department.

Any and everyone, corporations included, with enough funds worth stealing would be prudent sitting on it out of reach of the banksters.

There's a lot here that has just been swept under the rug that absolutely has to be addressed before we as a nation can move forward. Just kicking he can further down the road doesn't count as that.

And Tzu,nice post.

Corporate America has been diagnosed as a psychopath. Almost every company if evaluated as a human being (considering they have civil rights, this is a valid test) have ALL the characteristics and markers of a true psychopath.

There are former CEOs who have admitted the that the companies are set up in such a way, that money comes first, money is the goal, and any manner possible is the means.

That includes banks and most corporations. Henry Ford's buisness statement was to build a vehicle that was so cheap, even his workers could afford to drive one.(so he had to pay his workers more as well!)

A buisness is only as good as it's main goal. IF that goal is the acquisition of funds, then that is what matters. They will do things that an individual would have nightmares if they had to make that decision on their own.

One of the reasons corporations have the management that they do is because these people have elbowed their way to the top with the sole goal towards making more money. So the least ethical, the most aggressive and least socially responsible people often push themselves into leadership positions.

how do any of you people see ANY significant difference between Obama and Bush??????? Please explain how his economic policy is even a slight bit different? Aslo, has he abolished the Patriot Act, NO! he is insisting on it! are we no longer spending young american lives to protect oil pipelines and further interfere with the political sovereignty of many nations? Have we cut off the gravy train to halliberton, Bechtel, and the carlyle group? Oh, don't make me laugh! There has been nothing done to prevent another crisis in the economy, nothing done after the 'keeting 5', nothing done for all of the other times this same thing happens - namely the transfer of wealth to and consolidation of power by the banksters and hedge fund managers. And the topper is that this pointless bickering is exactly what they want and gets us nowhere! We have a ONE PARTY SYSTEM and if you can't see that, don't change the channel, just STOP WATCHING TV!!!! you will be amazed at all of the things that your brain can accomplish when removed from the plutocracy's #1 control device.
