I am so sorry for the loss of a man I remember and I am not sure why as I the grand kid of Dr. J, Cecil Parker now gone to long to count the years but not miss him. My Granny was Evelyn Parker of Little River for over 40 years and she loved a good horn player and especially one from my Grandfather's University of Columbia. I think it was your guy who convinced my granny to go up in a single engine plane in order to be brave enough to go up with Gay Lynn Dennen of Heritage House Fame or she got him hooked into the music festival???? I am not sure but I know by the picture and his great wit and daredevil ways that I knew him and remember him as a kind man, a soft soul and not gruff at all but if he is the man who got my Granny up or spent anytime at the Inn in the golf course he was not so soft about his passions; It is going to bug me how I knew him yet I worked the mendocino tourist summer in 77 and 78 and NEVER was not in awe of a man who could fly. I hope all those babies over the years helps now!!!

What about Vicky Paul? She took me to a party where a wonderful story was told by an old poet who owned a place by a tiny lake near Mendocino that had been a maybe motel. That was in '70/'71, a painter named Jim Bertram was there and some guy who had a dance studio who wore a bearskin coat and a jeweller named silver something and an australian lady who was after the bearskin coat and a blacksmith named Phil and a furniture maker named Will and a gay guy named Ariel dressed as a monk and a woman named Sydney. We ate roast bird and drank champagne and sang and danced and I will always remember it one way or another. Kinda wonder about Vicky, though, she had a sadness that was palpable but a truly beautiful smile for the dance teacher or his coat.

Hey, I was at one of those do's. Was at emmy howe malpas's place though. The little motel, or whatever it was originally out on the lake road, burned down and the old gentleman had kind of given up after someone terribly dear had passed. Gee, it is neeto that you was there too. Where are you now at? What about Michael Underhill, and george dawson and that rock star out at the comptche bar? I was there from 1958 thru 1974. Remember the dukabor maloof? The guy who started the art center named bill (zacca?). The dance teacher was he the one did the menotti operas at the center? I was georgi in the raven. I now think I was. I dont remember any champagne. Vicky was the girl who always had to leave? Sad eyes. Was walter keene's first model, actually his wife's, for those big eyed things that sold to red skelton. His wife started the idea and he ran with it. What of Hale Thatcher ans Ed ketchum? Ea Oleono? Carl Schrager, the guy with the record store?
