Why?? I know she was experienced but why does a 24 year old female go out in something like this alone??? I know she had her dog with her and she's got experience and nature is awesome but it's risky. Did she have a cell phone with her? I mean, if she's alone and gets hurt how does anyone know??? It's too risky to do something like this by yourself. I hope they are found safe.

So now we can't even walk our dogs because it's "unsafe"?

I guess we should all just stay indoors and be hermits.

My prayers to Melissa, her family and friends. I'm happy to hear that her dog turned up safe but am curious as to how far that was from where she was hiking.

I had class last night so I did not get to listen to the news.
I turn it on every morning while I'm getting ready for work.

Decapitated.
I feel weak. I feel sick. I have a cloud around me this morning.

How can these monsters thrive among us?
I don't believe in the death penalty. However, it wouldn't stir my soul one bit if the man dropped dead right now in front of me.

May she rest in peace. May her family/friends one day find solace.
