State Police Raid House, Seize 1,000 Marijuana Plants

State Police raided a house in Berks County late this morning and seized about 1,000 marijuana plants, according to an official with Reading-based Troop L. Lt.

We need to STOP criminalizing marijuana! Operations like this one are a complete waste of time and money, diverting precious time and resources from investigation of more serious crimes. I'm so sick of this. Marijuana is here to stay. Get over it.

I think it should be legalized, regulated and taxed like alcohol. But as long as it is against the law,
lock them up and throw away the key. I'm sure they knew they were breaking the law. Regardless if it's one you agree with, it's a crime.

i agree that marijuana should be legalized...but at the same time..it can't be a topic of debate if someone is growing[ 1,000 ]plants in their house when they know that it is illegal in the first place..that's taking it too far..did they really believe they wouldn't get caught?

How in the world would one know if they ever hurt or killed anyone? It's not like murderers go around bragging to all of us or the police that they killed anyone.

And ...as far as I know the police go after DUIs every day and night.

Also...what is an assault weapon for?
Rabbits? Kittens? Deer? Bear?
While one can buy them, why would you? To protect the crop? One is not a murderer until one murders sometimes to protect his/her illegal contraband. Then you are a grower, dealer and a murderer.

It sounds like your friends might be very dangerous and lawless criminals or you are not a very good judge of character or you like to smoke.

A few years ago, my family and I were threatened with rape and death if we did not sell or allow the sale of drugs in our business, on our property and home by creeps like this. We moved out because we had no alternative.

So...it is always pretty obvious to me that those damn state police should mind their own damn business...

And continue to do the excellent job they are sworn to do!

Guns and Drugs mixed together and you will find VIOLENCE. There are MANY unsolved murder cases right here in Berks County. Many of them are drug related in one way or another. Then we have the CODE OF SILENCE on the streets, which leads to more violence, as murderer's walk free.
