who was it that didn't want the volunteers in the labor day parade?
oh yes, the greedy reading firefighters union, thank you for raping this city for overtime |

maybe if the inhabitants of this wonderful city (which I was born in by the way) would hold a job and pay taxes, maybe Reading would not have declined to this point. I would not want to be a firefighter nor a policeman in that free for all enviornment. NO thank you!

I don't think so! The money will now pour into Reading. You gotta remember grants, state money, federal money, is free money. |
||||
there is no such thing as "free money" all money from any government agency comes with strings attached. Remember General Motors? Also, this is tax payer money. Unfortunately the "tax payers" are going to bail out a city, that is poorly managed. |

I think that any city, or town with money problems the Mayor and any other top offical should take a pay cut. Also any office that is not important should be vacated until money problems are gone and the city or town is in the black again. All Federal, state and local goverment should be down sized and that money could pay for all the short fall. I think everyone is tired of paying higher taxes for bigger goverment that does nothing to help people in need. They say to big to fail well that is not true smaller is the way to go to help all taxpayers.

Another govt agency to try to straighten out something that never should have occurred. 9 states now facing bankruptcy Maybe this is what its going to take to drain every bit of greed out of our UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Here is the 25th most dangerous city to live in in the United States. They want to know why businesses and middle class don't want to be part of Reading? They should contact Charlotte North Carolina and ask them what they did fifteen years ago and then copy it.
Police, Police, Police, and Police some more. Make it inconvenient to be a dealer, thug or thief. Tell the ACLU to pound sand and police them as well. Once the residents start to stand up to the ACLU and the dealers in the city it should clean up very nicely. Maybe not a Louis Vuitton but A nice suit nonetheless. I'd start in the worst neighborhoods including the projects and move out from there. But, What do I know. I'm not a politician I actually use common sense. |

but the problem is it is not only drug dealers, the drug dealers are moving out of Reading, it the people coming in 3 and 4 families at a time to Reading from out of town, they move in with other families, and then before you know it they take over your street and they dont have jobs, or want to work, these are the people we have to get rid of. let them go back to where they came from...plus...Reading should have a family law...one family per a 2 bedroom home, I have seen 3 families move in a 2 bedroom home, how?? but they are coming and coming fast. |
