They are a cult, don't be blind people. It's not
because of the money. Do your research.

My son works at the Soverien Center. He used to have alot of work.I know the economy is really bad but now since the JWs are at the Soverien Center every weekend,he hardly has any work now.I just wish they could alternate where they have conventions. We need more concerts there!!!Thats what it was built for in the first place! God Bless

I am a Jehovah's Witness and have been for many years. We have conventions and assemblies every year. And the people who say you were raised as witnesses, you guys know that we are not a cult. We are a loving organization, and we don't convert anyone or force them to join our religion. So please do not talk bad about my religion especially if you don't know what its about. Thank you.

I am a Jehovah's witness and i can tell you it's not every weekend we go there because we've been to other places. And it was built for people to host things there and if we pay to have conventions there then there shouldn't be a problem.

The local Reading newspaper wrote a POSITIVE article that showed that we as Jehovahs Witnesses do our BEST not to disrupt the community, and our people volunteer to clean and care for things there so that there is no burden to the city or its services, NOT TO MENTION all of the establishments that benefit from our presence, such as restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, department stores, etc., as we patron these establishments during our time there. Also, sometimes, there aren't more concerts and events at arenas because of the economy. As was mentioned, we aren't there EVERY SINGLE weekend, and in many cities, some arenas have a HARD TIME trying to secure acts/concerts looking for super-huge payouts, and thats why some venues don't get used as much... the smaller space and geographical/logistical factors are another reason that not as many attractions may come to an arena... believe me, that's the case with the arena where I live! Also, there are local congregations of Jehovahs Witnesses who also live in the area and attend Conventions there... its not just all out of towners... and again, we volunteer there in the community AND help the economy by frequenting establishments in the area during our time there... ask the businesses there, and the local authorities.
