I agree with the poll. Their a huge difference in feeling discriminated because of your looks vs. ones choice of behavior.

For gays trying to compare themselves to my parents generation is pure insanity. There are lots of behaviors not accepted by today's society.

discrimination still bothers you in the 21st century? sure it's an issue, but if everyone continues to let it get to them then it's always going to be an issue.

It's not about me, it's about the news media & Hollywood and the MTV culture. We will always have rules and rights in society base on different reasons.

I don't think your sexual behavior classifies you as an minority group and has nothing to do with your heritage.

You have no control who your parents are. But you do have control over your behavior. With that said, people are not born gay it's a choice.

I think both groups need to get over themselves and shut up about discrimination. Blacks are no more discriminated against than anyone. Gays should be discriminated against. The should be shunned and let know the err of there ways. We as a society should not accept their "choice" lifestyle. As it is a choice and not something they are born with.

For starters, the comments to this question prove to me that gays are discriminated against and hated. Being gay is not a choice, even though all these fundamentalists want to convince themselves that it is.

Gays such as myself compare themselves to blacks in the fact that blacks had to fight in order to be accepted in society and to earn their civil rights. I would never suggest that my plight as a gay man is in anyway equal to to plight of the black person from bigone times. I don't have to sit at the back of the bus and I can eat or live anywhere I want. However, I might point out that gay men and women are the victims of violence still today, so there are similarities there.

I think the point here is not to demean or to deminish the fight for civil rights but to acknowledge that the fight, although in a different era and with a different minority, still goes on today. Until all Americans are treated equally, the fight will contine to go on.

I might also point out that many respected black leaders and spokespersons-i.e. Corretta Scott King, Woopie Goldberg, Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, etc-would make the same comparison concerning equal rights for every man and woman.

You need to go back into the seclusion where all sexual behavior belongs. Who wants to see anyone acting out in public doing things that should be left at home? You do it to get attention which is very childish, selfish, and immature. You want to rub it in peopleís faces and shove it down peopleís throats. Don't you realize that gay people didn't come into existence a couple of years ago? Society has NEVER accepted it and they NEVER will. I personally don't care if your gay or not, just keep your preference to yourself and we will all be much happier people. To even prove my point look at your picture, who wants to see some little scrawny half naked boy poising in front of a mirror. Even your screen name is all about your sexual preference, even though you have taking many family public parks as your own hangout. I personally know many straight men that USE to fish and camp there and canít now because of what people like you have made the place and will not leave people alone for trying to hit on them. You have gay bars, gay websites, and I am sure gay clubs, and have no reason whatsoever of doing this in public. And now you know why people don't want to be bothered by your sexual behaviours, preferences, or lifestyle.

Blacks did not have a choice. Just as you don't have a choice of the color of your eyes or hair.

People have sexual choices. If you choose to behave Gay then it's your choice. If you choose Incest it's your choice. You have full control whom you wish to have a sexual relationship with.

Gays are not a ethic group. Participating in the gay behavior or culture has nothing to do with one heritage.

Homosexuality is a choice. I guess to some extent you could call it a mental disorder.

When dating or looking for a mate we often pick things we like or dislike upfront.

Height, Weight, Sex, Age, Personality are just some of the things we consider dating.

Ethnic not ethic, Bradley.

Give it a rest Brad, homosexuality is biological.

All GAY people do not "participate in the gay behavior or culture" whatever that means. Most gay people do not show affection in public. Most gay people live a quiet lifestyle that should be of no concern to you or me.

When people start meddling into things that are not their business, when people start questioning things that they suspect, it puts all of us in danger. The old spinsters librarians of years ago, the two ladies that go to your church that live together may or may not be gay. It is not your business. The female athletes who are room mates probably are not gay, but people would say they were.

Leave it be, Brad,'tis NOT your business.

Much more sexual activity goes on in public between heterosexual couples than by homosexual couples, why aren't you upset by that.

what are you so afraid of?

if you're talking about pda, and saying it should be kept indoors, you'll never get your wish.

it should apply to all people, straight or gay, but i don't see you complaining about a straight couple going off into a secluded area tofuck.

no one's asking you to look or care. so if you really don't want to, then don't.

also, do you think humans were just made a couple years ago or what? gay people have been around forever. get used to it.

i'm not sure why you can't understand that gay people don't choose, they are just automatically attracted to the same sex. just as a straight person is attracted to the opposite sex. the only choice they make is not dating the opposite sex, because they aren't attracted to them.

asking them to date the opposite sex would be like them asking you to date the same sex. you think its icky and gross right? i can assure you the feeling is probably mutual.

Well if your attracted to underage girls you have a choice to act or not to act. If your attracted to your Sister or brother you make the decided to act on it or not.

We are not animals nor should we act that manner. We are thinking human beings and not animals that act on instinct or feelings of the moment.

We don't eat our young because we are hungry. We are logical humans beings with laws and order.

Number one I don't care what goes on in a person Bedroom or backseat of a car.

But I will not set quietly to listen to all this propaganda and lies from the media on Homosexuality. Which is easily debunked by anyone being honest and truthful with themselves.

Just as a drunk must come to terms they have a drinking problem. Just as a wife beater must come to terms they are a physical abuser, so do those who practice Homosexuality must understand it is by their choice.

When the Pedophiles drive up to these young girls houses on Dateline who was at fault? The person driving to the young girl house or was he simply a biological victim?

Your argument doesn't hold water and is a slippery slope. Homosexuality is only one of many sexual sins.

These problems have plagued mankind for generations. People can make up many excuses but it doesn't make the behaviors less wrong.

In our society, today, you would not marry your brother or your sister, but as far back as old testment times brothers and sisters married quite frequently. Think of Abraham and Sarah, he gave her to the Pharoah as his sister and did not tell him he was also her wife. Royalty in most cultures married family members. And in the early colonial days of America (and Kentucky) marriage among relatives was quite common.

Marriage to what you would call underage persons has also been a historical fact. In the history of the US it was quite common for 13 and 14 year old girls to marry. In fact, some of our founding fathers of this country married their spouses at 14 and 15 years old.

Can me old fashion but I don't think 74 year old man should be hitting on 8 year old's in the school yards because he he likes.

Sooner or later we must be able to admit we make a mistake or what we are doing is wrong.

Not because we were born that way or another way.

The population is plenty enough we don't need incest.

a 74 year old man and an 8 year old girl is a rarety, don't you think? You are exercising in extremes again trying to make a point.
Someday you will understand that homosexuality is biological. Not today. One day you will get it. And you will understand that having a family next door with two dads or two moms takes nothing away from you.
Until YOU stop advocating discrimination against them, you are practicing prejudice.

Plain and simple, Bradley uses his color as an excuse to be where he is in life. "The man is keeping him down." BULLSHIT!! No one keeps anyone down, but themselves. No one owes any black person crap. I have never owned a black person. My father never owned a black person. Black people have been free for several years. There own people were the ones that sold them into slavery to the Dutch and then the Dutch resold them. If anyone owes the black man anything then it is the blacks and the Dutch. I say get over it and yourself. Quit using your color as an excuse to be lazy and down trodden. Hell, I am lazy and make no excuses for it except that I choose to be.

You haven't address any of my points in my posts. Homosexuality is a choice and that's a fact & the bottom line.

Besides you displaying your negative and preconceive perception & stereotypes towards people of color.

Can you provide any evidence of your outrages claims towards me? What post are you referring to that I made excuses for Blacks or anyone for that matter?
