Has anyone tried the 5 gallon buckets of fake tide and gain going around town right now? They're priced around $30-$35 depending on who you ask.

I have, its worth the money. They arent actually fake tide. The bucket actually has the tide symbol on it, I got mine in columbia though so you maybe talking about a different kind. I bought a 5 gallon bucket of detergent and another 5 gallon of fabric softner. Both cost 28 dollars a piece.

You can actually make your own, inexpensive washing detergent, by simply doing a google search. It works great, and for those on a tight budget, comes in very handy.=) Round about price for a gallon of homemade laundry detergent, is about 1.50. VS a 5 gallon bucket, your are seriously being overcharged for. Google it. Go for it! Save yourselves some $$ for other necessary purchases.

There is also a great DIY recipe for baby wipes, that I like over store bought, name brand/generic wipes. Again, very inexpensive.

Good luck!

I buy the tide and Downey for 30 for 5 gallon in Columbia. I can't use other detergents because of allergies. I love it and it saves a lot of money!

These 5 gallons buckets of tide gain and downey are a good product. Its comes from Illinois The guys that makes these buckets of detergent is a retired chemist from tide products. He produce it from his home now but leaves it higher concentrated so he cant get in legal trouble. This is a great product and will save you many dollars on your laundry bill

can purchase them for 25.00 each.
Its actually a compared to product re-engineered and offered at a much better price. The manufacture does not need to mark it up as much as P&G because they are not as big and they are a private company not open to stock markets.
It all comes from here.
