I drove behind the Old Walmart Building to view the property that has been donated to the city. One can hardly see the property for all the trash that is scattered behind the building. There are literally hundreds of used bingo cards & bingo papers scattered all behind the building. Looks as if someone just opens the back door to the Bingo Hall and throws the garbage bags out the back door. The bags have landed in the driveway and it appears that vehicles have run over the bags, with the wind scattering the trash along the property. There's two dumpsters located behind the building so there is no excuse for this trash being scattered in such a mess. If someone could tell me who is charge of the Bingo Hall, I will be glad to contact them. I understand the Bingo Hall is a very popular place so those in charge of clean-up should complete the job. The patrons of the Bingo Hall would be disappointed if something caused the Bingo Hall to have a negative image. I have some photos of the "before" photos and HOPEFULLY I can take some photos in a few days of the 'after' view--with the trash all picked up! Bingo Hall Boss should be ashamed.

Get a life. There are children going hungry in the quarters. Domestic violence that no one ever speaks about and that children witness on Davis Lake. And you are worried about the bingo hall trash. You need a reality check. Really...

Believe me, there should be NO hungry children in "the quarters". Too many La purchase cards, welfare and free breakfast/ lunch at schools for kids to be hungry.

What about in the summer time curious when kids don't get breakfast and lunch and snacks. Sure, its not their fault it's their pitiful parents (if you want to call them that) fault. Kids dont go hungry because of their will, they go hungry because the people/person they depend on doesn't provide for them. Reality or not, right or wrong its the TRUTH. There is MUCH MUCH MUCH more to get your panties in a wad about than trash outside the bingo hall. Try substance abuse issues and children that are witnesses to drug deals and needle injections. Children that are told their entire lives and savings and inheritance has gone down the crack toilet. This is inside and OUTSIDE the hood. Davis Lake, Riverbend Loop, Country club subdivision...its everywhere and affects not only the people on LA purchase cards. You mostly see hunger and domestic violence and addiction within the poor population only because the high and mighty of the mighty ole 'richland parish' are too scared to be looked down upon, too much PRIDE, and would make them very vulnerable to their hoity toity friends and family. it may bring them back down to the real world for a little bit....that would be way too scary.

Mother goose,
You sure are down on someone within the Davis Lake area. Instead of making the comments you have on this particular post maybe you should start your own. Maybe you could title it jealousy within Richland parish? Just a suggestion! Also, if you want to start a topic about starving children and their sorry parents that won't feed them, then please do so. This topic is about the bingo hall needing to clean their trash up or hire responsible workers whom will do their jobs. I agree that the trash needs to be cleaned up. It's an eyesore and unacceptable. Now when you start your topic on the hungry children & needle injections I will comment and give you my opinion on that.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Sagittarius

It's important to be discriminating about what you say and believe today. That's because communications are rather strange, with people saying or doing odd things and plenty of scope for crossed wires. Be very careful if you're attending to important details because for some reason your brain may switch off at the vital moment, leaving you prone to making mistakes or losing track of what you're doing. Try to double-check anything important tomorrow when your brain is back in gear.
