I had a greyhound whose leg was shattered in a race. After pins and screws were used to fix her leg, she became my pet. She was the sweetest dog I ever had and made a wonderful house pet. When I would take her out to the field to run, she would run in big circles.

Vote YES on 3.

If this is all so cruel, why hasn't the state stepped in? Why is the state allowing this? Do we not pay taxes for oversight? Why hasn't the legislature investigated?

Could it be that many of the claims of abuse are made by special interest groups...they don't like something, so you can't do it.

At least in horse racing the animals there are given room to roam around. Most of these dogs are in cages until it's race time. Alot of them die of perferated ulcers from poor diet and feeding practices. Vote a resounding YES on #3.

they are groomed and exercised and treated like kings , you presumptious pantload!they are given good food, heating in the winter, ac in the summer.the dogs that are injured are put down(usually),but that happens to horses to.and when they get old (or slow down) they are retired, which nowadays ,leads to adoption.(depending on temperment, of course)have you ever owned a greyhound? my grandpa worked at green mountain(horses and dogs)i've seen first hand-have you?

It makes me sick to my stomach to see what a profit driven industry does (abuse of animals). I hear their JOBS what about the animal NOTHING. They don't care about those Greyhounds. Maybe the people/screwballs that enjoy watching the abuse of animals will come back in their next life as a GREYHOUND and die on the track. They care less about the dogs only the money. I am voting YES on Question Three and hope everyone else does. The truth speaks for itself and these animals are ABUSED. STOP IT NOW....
I also know a woman that has worked at wounderland for the past 25 years , she has been offered a job at suffolk downs if it and hopefully Question 3 wins, she just told me the other day that she is voting yes on 3 cause of the stuff she sees going on in there.. VOTE YES ON THREE SAVE THE GREYHOUNDS :)

Ban Scratch Tickets

I just came back from buying ice cream at Stewarts in Pownal and I had to wait a full five minutes while some fat slob with dirty clothes made the clerk check a fist full of scratched tickets to see if there were any winners. This loser won a full five bucks on a stack of tickets that would have chocked a horse but was to stupid to figure it out herself.Could she be the next millionare form Alta Gardens? Maybe they should ban trailer trash too.

we need trailer trash to pick up at least some of the tab for drug interdiction and welfare stealing. why are they always "fat" slobs. is it hard to be a lean slob? why could those tickets "choke" a horse? they would take far less to kill a dog.

save the animals

go obama

Maybe we could legalize pit bull fighting too. I am guessing they are treated just as good. Please....

Come on people, PEDA members are a bunch of crack pots who should put their efforts into saving people. Don't get me wrong, I love animals and don't believe they should be beaten or mistreated but we are talking about racing not dog fighting. Why don't we outlaw marathon races also because a human can be injured while running. What a bunch of morons.

Why don't you tell us the big lie of how dogs are not put down in mass after they can not run? Don't believe the pet lie.Only a small amount end up as pets the rest are murdered by jerks who put money first and foremost.
