This is another case of the "you owe me" generation getting what they want.In the business world most people pay at least 35% of health costs and when there is no money there are no raises. How many are colledting unemployment for the summer when their wages are for a 12 month period?

Quite the opposite from what I Squires say The problem is the more-and-more of the educational budget is wrapped in payouts to retirees, the same retirees who will vote "No" on tax overrides. "Greatest Generation" types and the early Boomers are willing to let any investment in the future slide, in infrastructure and resources to the young, as long as their pensions and insurance continues, as is.
And remember, Bridgewater is a town that voted a majority for BUSH in 2004. That's a telling preference, is it not?
