McDonald's Disrespects All Veterans

Last Veterans Day, a local veteran went to the McDonalds in Rayne. He noticed that the American flag being flown at that location was in horrible condition. As is his custom, he very nicely asked the manager if they would mind taking the flag down. He also offered to properly retire the flag. The manager told him that it would be taken care of right away. The veteran went out to the flagpole and waited, and only a few minutes later, a bucket truck showed up. The veteran asked if they were there to remove the flag, and the truck crew told him yes. At about that time, a police car showed up, and the manager came out of the McDonalds and pointed the veteran out as the "trouble maker". The police asked him to leave, and the manager told him that the flag was going to stay right where it was. The veteran went home, but decided to get an answer as to why this happened. He went back to McDonalds and asked why they would not take the flag down, and was told that he must leave or be arrested. He chose to remain to seek an answer to why that flag was being left up. He never raised his voice, nor was he in any way disrespectful. He was arrested. I suggest that everyone who gives a hoot about the veterans who gave so much to this country should boycott McDonalds, and should let them know why.
