Police Investigate Death of Church Point Woman

How should the Briscoes go about having their voices hear about the tragic murder of their daughter/sister/niece? Looks like they are taking all the steps they should and nothing is happening. Does anyone have any ideas on something or someone else they can contact?

This was a statement the news media made after Police arrested Jonathan Citizen this weekend from a shooting...

how soon they forgot the murder of Kristie in this quiet little town...and all the others in Ricky Legers house...this is so infuriating....

I knew this young girl...she was a very sweet girl with a very bad drug habit...she deserved help...she did not deserve to be beaten to death like a dog.

TammyQ...you're right...there have been several "mysterious deaths" in that house and just about everyone who has lived in that house since Mrs. Leger died years ago has been seriously involved in drug dealing, addiction, etc...i have not been in that house since Mrs. Leger died, but her sons were living with her and her husband then, and the house was not very clean, so I can imagine what it was like when only her sons and their "friends" lived there...from the way the house always looked outside, it's pretty safe to say it looked worse inside...I can't imagine that house being immaculate with people like that living in it for as long as they had...please continue to fight to find your daughter's murderer(s)...i really liked that little girl...she told me "thank you" a few yrs ago for helping her get some help for her addictions...I only wished it had worked at the time...she might still be alive. My daughter died many yrs ago and I know how much pain you are in...God bless you and your family and may He give you the strength to find out exactly what happened to Kristie...justice belongs to you!

I have no idea but I'd call an attorney and see who to take the case to, bypassing CPPD.

Just so Mark and Tammy know... Kristie is remembered and thought fondly of at times.
I brought her somewhere one day, she was stone cold sober and I recall her and I talking about children and how much she loved them. She had Tessa's little boy Brennen with her and she was kissing him up and down and she had a glow about her that couldn't be put out....
What happened to that girl makes me sick inside... I only thank God her fight is over and she's resting peacefully....
She hasn't and won't be forgotten....She wasn't perfect but she sure did touch a few lives.

I agree with you,i went to that house several times when miss eunice was alive and it was very clean.I understand bashing Ricky but not his dear mother.

in response to Mrs. Leger not keeping her house clean: she was very ill at the time and her sons were taking advantage of her and not keeping the house clean for her when she couldn't ko it for herself. i witnessed this for myself. i liked Mrs Leger very much...she was a very sweet person and did not deserve the treatment she received from her sons. please don't judge me unfairly...you just misunderstood what i was saying

We miss you Kristie! You burned so bright and intense, but only for a little while. Kristie touched more people than some do in a lifetime. I think of her on a daily basis, as any parent does who has lost a child. To those who who have lost a son or daughter, we know, how a part of you dies with them. But I view them as gifts, given and taken, but left their mark on many hearts. We have good memories, which is also a gift. I pray we may all find peace after the trauma we have experienced. R.I.P. They could go to the t.v. stations and ask them to do a piece on it. Also newspapers like the Times of Acadiana and newspapers that have crime sections. There is some kind of crimestoppers paper put out locally that I find at the Point de L'Eglise that would be perfect for their story. I would also put a picture of Kristie at the grave of Charlene Richard and ask for intercession on her part. Just a few ideas!

Prayers and thoughts go out to kristies family. I know things are still hard for u all. We haven't forgotten.

I cant say enough how everyone on here has helped Kristie's family with your kind words and prayers...It's already been 2 years since Kristie's death, and it still seems like recently...but I too often think, although she didn't deserve to die the way that she did, that she is now resting...her suffering is over..and I'm sure she and her mom are having the time of their lives...
