Lawmakers add relatives to campaign payrolls

Keep them all off. If they believe in their family member, they would do it for free like the other volunteers!
Hard working Americans don't contribute for the money to go to the candidates' family income!!
I cannot believe that we need laws to regulate common decency!

Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-La., for instance, paid his daughter, Lisa Lowe, more than $73,000 between Jan. 1, 2011, and Dec. 31, 2012. Another daughter, Ginger Robinson, also works for the campaign and collected $57,000 in salary during the 2012 election cycle. The campaign also underwrote 17 auto payments, totaling $32,700, Federal Election Commission records show.

These politicians are certainly without morals, remember the clown called Jefferson that was hiding money in his freezeer and then got re=elected (New Orleans),sad, but even sadder are the voters that re-elected him.Or that Jesse Jackson JR. fellow stealing all that campaign money and then try to claim he was mentally ill.The only mentally ill are the ones that voted him in office. How bout that mayor from D.C. busted for cocaine then re-elected,shows you the mentality of our voters!!!!

There are quite a few out there on both sides of the isle.
We need to be against the wrong doing; not make it political.
The practice is just "plain Wrong"!
David Vitter put out a bill that would make it illegal. No one signed on to support it.
Maybe if it were a decent person proposing decency, it would have gotten backing. David Vitter is just trying to put his name out there before his run for Govenor. Cannot fool the people all the time!

The real issue is that it is taxpayer money/donations.
My experience in the past is when family members are hired, they usually make more money and do less. It takes away from the truly qualified who actually do the work. Which in the long run costs more in payroll.
Would you donate to a campaign is you knew a good portion of the money is going to pay his/her family?
Wouldn't you think they would do it for free to support the family member leaving more money for ads to get the word out?
