I really don't think that you will find one single person to disagree with you. Way too complicated for the average taxpayer to read and understand. WHY? If it would have been simplier, it would still be in the court system or overturned.<quoted text>I really don't think that the whole thing about Obama-care is bad but 5000 pages, that is totally ridiculous , allot of things need to be trimmed and some things taken out.It is way to massive for people to actually understand it!!!
The Repubs in Congress, like Ted Cruz and Paul Ryan, who enjoy taxpayer paid healthcare, want to take affordable healthcare away from the average taxpayer. Businesses could NOT have continued to pay the higher and higher premiums each year. Do you realize that your annual raises go to ever increasing premiums (Ins. Co. profits)? Are you OK with that?
What people don't understand is when the company pays a portion of your premium, that is part of your compensation. Companies do it this way to save on taxes (you benefit from this handling too). But ever increasing premiums cost more than the company would have given their employees as annual raises. Most employees don't understand why their raises are not higher. Get it now? It was going to insurance companies's execs as bonuses.
Last year over $2/billion in unused premiums (80% not used to pay claims or put in reserve) was returned to policy holders. Had Obamacare not been in place, this $ would have gone to Ins. Execs as bonuses. Now do you understand why the Repubs in Congress are working so hard to overturn Obamacare? Their campaign donors want their bonuses back! Are you going to go against your own interest and help them get it?
Keep in mind, the good points of the law benefits the MAJORITY of Americans at their most vunerable time; time of illness!
Too much profit in healthcare.
When the Sr Rx program was passed, why didn't they insist on volume discounts? That is how HUGE corporations work it in the Free Enterprise System. Most Seniors are on maintenance meds (take everyday). Why aren't you supporting the POTUS on this issue? Think of the MASSIVE SAVINGS!
Again, when people can get regular checkups and follow medical advice, meds would replace most expensive procedures. Again, SAVINGS!
Obamacare was a GREAT start. We need to tweek it, NOT GET RID OF IT!
