The Raymore annexation is the epitome of greed at its best. One wonders if city fathers have a lot to gain financially in their own pockets. It is a sad day when such greed can force it way on to residents who do not want the annexation. The City truly has nothing to offer for the 19% tax increase that will result.

If an annexation were to occur, it would be far better being annexed by Lee's Summit rather than an inept community such as Raymore. If the citizens of Raymore believe that their taxes will not go up, they are mistaken.

Your comments are so true. The people in the city of Raymore have not been given accurate information and what they have been given is put together by the city for what they want citizens to think. The people in the involuntary annexed areas are not going to sit back and do nothing. The city will be surprised! It is nothing but greed. If the mayor has his way Raymore will be nothing but a city of roof tops!

The mayor needs to get his priorities straight. If he knew what really went on in the schools he wouldn't be too worried about the annex.

I live in the proposed area and do not wish to be part of any city. I only fear if we are not annexed by Raymore we would be annexed by Lee's Summitt. While Lee's Summitt would be able to provide better services we would mean nothing to their city council and it would be hard to get them to respect our opinions. As for the comment on the schools I am the President of the Student Council at the High School and I not sure I know what you are talking about. I think some things could be better, however overall I'm quite proud of our school.

You seem like a really well rounded kid. But are you proud of the fact that the administration and staff bully and harrass the kids as well as other kids. Are you proud of the fact that they don't stop the bullying from happening. The principal last year told a kid he would never amount to anything and gave him the drop out papers. He then went and killed himself. Are you proud of that? Teachers are supppose to love the children and not only teach them but guide them and make them feel special because a lot of these kids don't have decent parents to do that. You may the administration is hiding so much that goes on in the system. Maybe you can be the one to change the system if not for you but for your many many friends and their brothers and sisters. If you are president please do something about the bullying issue. The system has plenty of money. That shouldn't be a priority in Raymore right now. Forget about the fundraisers and help the kids that aren't as priviledged as you are. I bet that you will have more pull on this issue than you think. You ae popular and people will listen to you. Good Luck!
