I am More then pleased with the home that My wife and I have Purchased from Mr. Penrod with Penrod Homes Inc. Mr. Penrod Builds a GREAT home and does not cut any corners or cost to make sure you and your fam are living in a quality home. Thanks again Mr. Penrod for making our purchase such a wonderful experience......

Don't be fooled! This is the same Penrod builder that built homes in the Greenwood, MO area that along with the help of his "in house" realtor and mortgage lender-helped buyer's obtain financing and offered "cash back" incentives to purchase. This has been the source of a local news expose and continues to be investigated by the authorities as well. This scheme has caused nearly a whole subdivision to foreclose and propert values to drop. This is comparable to the mortgage fraud scheme & indictment just announced yesterday by the U.S. Attorney General. I am confident Mr. Penrod's time will come soon....

Realy??? Funny thing is I never delt with a realator and i had my own financing in place and was never offered to use any kind of service from any kind of in house realator or was i ever offered financing incentives by Mr. Penrod. And I happen to have purchased a home in Greenwood in the exact development you are speaking of... Unless you have been in a dark cave or just as nieve as you sound!!! It is not only Greenwood or Mr. Penrods Subdivision..... IT IS IN EVERY STATE, CITY AND MOST OF ALL SUBDIVISIONS ACROSS THE UNITED STATES..... So is he the problem to this mess all across the United States??? Look I am still a HAPPY HOME OWNER and in NO way can MY SELF or YOU Put the blame on Mr. Penrod for a crises waiting to happen with the PISS POOR Finanacing options available thru Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac and i am talking about the Stated income Stated Asset Loans made available. Mr. Penrod is a Builder and does NOT own a realestate company or a MTG Company and can not discreminate who he sales homes to. So the only people to blame are the dumb ass's who just happen to bite off more then they can chew and yes our country is full of them!!!! PS... Drive 15 sec down the street to the first subdivision you come to which is Delinda Estates now Mr. Penrod has nothing to do with this delvelopment and talk to any home owner standing out side and ask them what has happend to there home value or even better yet step out on to your front porch and this is for any of you and all of you that is reading this and ask your self or your neighbor what has happend to there home value and see if they tell you........ Well its that damn Penrod that built a small development in little ol Greenwood MO did this to us and not only us but all across the Country!!! So people get REAL Mr. Penrod is in no way the person to blame. Start with the people that bought more then they could afford or bought a home with a 3 or 5 year arm loan and happen to miss a payment or two weather it be a credit card or car payment and now cant afford to refi due to a 30 day late on there credit report and now the intrest rate jumped 3 to 8 Percent and house payment doubled....... These are the ass wholes to blame!!!!! just use common since people

I live in Greenwood. I have had nothing but problems in my Penrod house. My nieghbors also have problems with the quality of their houses. Low quality items used and poor construction. I should have known when the house is only 10 years old and I was the 3rd buyer (sucker).
The basement leaks, the yard floods, wood is rotting, ceiling is cracking, two different stains were used on the wood trim. There wood used for the trim is full of knot holes and is extremely rough. The garage doors are uneven and don't close properly. The siding is rottings and water gets behing it and has caused mold to grow on the drywall.
The list just goes on and on. If anyone I knew and cared about was considering buying a Penrod home I would suggest they do otherwise. He should be sued for such poor quality. I don't have the money to fix all of this stuff and I figured buying a reality new home I wouldn't have any problems like this.
He should be sued and put in jail.

Mr Brooks do you live in a DARK CAVE in independence Mo. I live in a Penrod Home in Greenwood were MR.Penrod has developed and build most of the houses (if that`s what you want to call them). I just had a licensed strucuial engineer look at why ever room in my home has cracks in the walls and the doors don`t shut anymore. He said WOW this frame work past code inspections. I`m not surprised at the problems your have. This is a poorly engineered home. They cut corners to a save a doller. Now it`s going to cost you thousands to fix. Everyone i have talk to on my block doesn't have anything nice to say about their home quality and construction nor will they buy another penrod home, me included. My house is for sale would you like to buy it!
