Of course Bennie Thompson keeps winning. We live in a district drawn so it will have a 65% black majority. And they say gerrymandering is illegal. Also, Mississippi's second congressional district has always been the rural delta. But to keep the district overwhemingly black they had to take the district into Jackson, the state capitol. Makes no sense to me.

You really think Democrats have a monopoly on this sort of thing? Republicans are the world champion gerrymanders. E.g., ever heard of a place called Texas?
