His name has not yet been released. The state Bureau of Criminal Investigation is joining city and county authorities in investigating the death.

The man in question is my brother, and I just thought I'd let you know there is no way in HELL my brother hung himself. I have seen the bruses and felt his cracked skull, and I tell you he was murdered. I have vowed to fight the Williston jail system, and hope to stop this kind of abuse.

Chad was not the first,there have been way to many. as for the State BCI,Williston PD,or the WC sheriffs department"LOOKIN INTO IT" RIGHT. They are one and the same.When one of "the good ol boys"steps in the s#*t they send him to Bowbells ND and make him a shiriff.Should a sent him to prison,but no,they relocated him and made him a sheriff.You will get no truth out of the people that murdered your brother.Peace

Sorry to hear about your brother's death by the hands of murderers that the Williston people so blindly trust... afterall, their job is to protect and serve isn't it?? Something needs to be done...residents of Williston, don't keep turning away from this... one day it may be your brother that they claim "hung himself" in the Williams County jail. Still wondering when justice will be served for the past victims of the men in blue.

Deb, I wish it was that simple. It's like gone johnson said, "when one of the good ol boys steps in sh*t, they stick together". It's pretty hard to prove when crimes scenes have been botched and they all stick to the same story. Someone said to me, well maybe it was the inmates...nope, had it been the inmates, it would have been reported as just that. Also, MOST inmates in the Williams County jail are not in there for violent crimes and don't even have any violent issues in their past.

Sorry...don't believe you. If it is true that the Williams county jail is nearly full at all times, then someone in that jail block saw or heard something. If you are being beat up and strangled, etc... you are going to scream out or yell for help...SOMEONE would have heard. The other inmates would not be afraid to come forward, as they would LOVE to have the officers controlling the jail to get in trouble...here is their chance, but doubt the young man truly was murdered. Unless you can come up with anything better than what you guys have been saying...I'm afraid no one is going to believe your versions of what happened.

Been a while. First off A jailers #1 priority is the safety of everyone behind those locked doors. Jailers and inmates. We do not pay them to eat donuts and play video games. If the jailers,inmates,or self {doughtfull} did it it is mox-nix,it does not matter. Whoever was working that night was fornicating the K9,He or she was not DOING THIER JOB!

Acutally AKA Gone Johnson...you don't know your facts...Western ND and Eastern MT are in the midst of another Oil Boom...Williston has grown about 1,500 people in the last couple years...not much I'm sure by your standards...but for we in North Dakota...that is pretty good. I have never done meth in my life.You can not mix 27 poisons and come up with anything but a bigger POISON!As for my new state,The sign at the border reads "WELCOME TO MAINE-THE WAY LIFE SHOULD BE". Chad was a good son, and no one will make me believe that he hung himself, we may never fine out, but will try, my son was inian, but not enough to be registar, and because he was indian i don't feel that there was a need to say that about a good injun. Williston makes a good amount of money from the indian people. I pray that this does not happen to any one else, But there is one person that knows what went down and that is God. Mark, Does Williams Cty. have a meth problem? From what I've heard, a horrible problem. But from what my friends and family have said, Chad was not arrested for meth. He was in the county jail for paraphenilia for marijuana. Hmmm, to this day, I do not know a single person that has smoked a joint and wrapped their car around a tree, gone home and kicked the dog, slapped the kids, and beat their spouse. Now give them alcohol, and watch them turn into instant a$$hole. Also, most people convicted of meth, are sent to the pen in Bismarck.. so has Bismarck had an increase in suicides in the prison there?
