George or Jeff Herrud

Hey everyone, I was born in Rawlins and until recently always had family located there. My gradpa was George Herrud who passed away December 2007 and my uncle was Jeff Herrud who died in Nov. 2007. I was wondering if anyone here knew them and had any memories of them. Thanks!

Yes Jamie,
I moved here to Rawlins in 1993. Your Grandpa was my neighbor. I live across the street from his house. Your Grandpa is about the nicest man a person could ever meet. The first year we lived here, he held a block party to help us meet the neighbors. It was awesome! I was also diagnosed with cancer in 2004. George and I went to the same oncologist. We tried to keep each other strong. He tried to keep it light and upbeat. He told me that I looked better bald than he did. I miss him a lot. Your uncle I have met and I know that he was a very nice man. I didn't know him that well though. I like to remember your Grandpa by thinking of him bragging over his flowers in his yard. He definitely had a nack for that.

Dear jamie, I knew your Grandmother and your Grandfather and you uncal Jeff. I took care of your Grandmother when she was ill. I was able to get to know your Grandfather and your uncal Jeff.
They were very nice men I knew them for many years
after that as well.
It was very hard to know that your Granddad had passed away. I had talked to your Uncal just before He passed away I was very saded that they passed away . I miss them all you take care .

I moved to Sinclair for short while and worked with Jeff at the Refinery, and was on the fire department with him great guy!
