Good idea. Just send me a chunk of the money Okiehomie received from the tobacco company lawsuits. I'm the victim, not the state, I wanna quit, I can't afford the meds/treatment. We don't neeed another commercial or any more brochures. We need REAL help for smokers if you want us to quit.

Maybe they should worry more about the fat people. I hear Oklahoma doesn't rank too well in that area either....

Absolutely agree! Obesity is not better or worse than smoking!

I don't have to reduce my tobacco use; I don't use tobacco in any form.

Being in the presence of obese folks has no affect on anyone else's health; but, being in the presence of tobacco smoking folks affects the health of even the non-smokers.

This "Johnny Come Lately" idea is already happening across our state. The reformed non smokers and the people that never smoked have made their valid points. To respect their space which also includes their homes and vehicles. It is happening NOW. I am a smoker and I respect the other person's life style and do not impose my habit on others which includes members of my own family. I resent the goverment telling me and /or others how to live their lives. How to live in their own homes. I say back off and clean your own houses first.

Ever get caught between to fat people?
I have, it isn't pretty, and often smells bad because obese people often cannot clean themselves after--well, you know.

As for the other--with all the restrictions
on smokers now, you should avoid those places. Places where adults can still make free choices.

Not all overweight, even grossly overweight people smell badly. I have been around skinny people who had the same kinds of body odor that obese people have.

And I have been around smokers who complained about another people's bad breath and those smokers' breaths were worse than the persons they griped about.

Oh, once a person gets addicted to the nicotine in tobacco, he no longer is able to make those free choices.

Nicotine is an addictive drug and therefore tobacco should have been one thing under the control of the Food and Drug Administration many decades ago. Same with alcoholic beverages (but, however, I am not against drinking in moderation).

First the government will control onething that they claim is bad for you and can prove it is bad for you. Then they will find something else to control and claim it is bad for you and prove it and kept going till they control everything in your life. Like when you go to bed, when you wake up, how many kids you can have, where you can work and so on. Tell me how far are we going to let the government control our private life. When are we going to say enough is enough.

Just wait until they realize how many tax dollars will be lost. There will be a turn around on the advantages of being a loyal partner to the tobacco industry. Remember to vote

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
