Idiots like these politicians crying about it is the last thing they should do if they don't like it. I personally think it's fine. Just another short-lived reality show. And it's not like it's a secret that there's a bunch of hillbilly rednecks here. I bet it will be funny.

I prefer Moonshiners myself. Even though those VA boys like Tim and Tickle are country fellows, they know their American History and speak proper grammar.

My ex used to say they should post signs at all the borders of WV stating: Welcome to WV where inbreeding is a spectator sport."

He isn't from "the WV".

Let's think about this for a minute: Manchin has known about Buck Wild for quite some time. Why is he just now objecting to it? I think it's reverse psychology. I think he really wants to bring everyone's attention to it. It will gain his state attention, and as a businessman, any attention is good attention. Complaining makes him look like he is fighting for our state, which is a complete lie. The guy is crooked, people. Sometimes, you have to think like the crook to catch him.

Side notes: They did 12 episodes. That most likely isn't Salwa on the Charleston thread. I didn't think that there were any black people in Sissonville? I heard that the Asian looking chick has the Herp and is VERY open about telling people. I wonder how many of those guys on the show caught the ugly in these 12 episodes? Do they even know what condoms are in Sissonville???

louda, did you read the article about what the neighbors had to say about the house mtv rented and all the noise ? the cops were called on them and when they left mtv went right back and cranked it up again. lol
I'm not surprised. They're lucky the house didn't fall victim to the fires that people have been recreationally setting in the country these days.

I've seen the previews for "buck wild". I have to say that what I've seen is what I see most of the youth do in WV. It's no secret..WV has rowdy people, same as every state. Manchin complaining did nothing but give free publicity.
The "whites" should have been complained about more.

That rediculous show will only cast a shadow on WV. Those people are not an accurate representation of most of the youth in WV, if you think it is, then you must hang around the same type of trashy people they have on that show. They chose a bunch of ignorant, redneck, trash for that show. It's bad enough that people from other states think WV is full of nothing but ignorant, inbred, hicks, now this. WV has so much more to offer than what will be seen on that horrible show. It will only serve to make our beautiful state look bad to those who don't live here. These types of shows only choose human garbage to participate on them, and the same type of people watch it.

I'm not sure, but you have to admit that I was pretty close even if it wasn't touched. Who lives close to Tom Cruise?

Roo, a joke isn't funny if you have to explain it, but here goes: I jovially stated that something I said yesterday about recreational fires and the TV show Buck Wild might've had something to do with causing the fire in Sissonville. Again, still jokingly, I started talking about fires and Tom Cruise's house, because I really can't stand Cruise. Diving even further into my joke, I stated that the fire most likely just missed the Buck Wild house, so I talked about fires and Tom Cruise's neighbors' houses in case I miss by a little bit again.

We all on the same track now?

Manchin wants this as bad as MTV does. It's all for attention. These kids aren't examples of how West Virginians act, even if that is what they claim.

Yep. The more people bitch about it, the higher ratings will climb, then the ad rates, then the pay, then the spin-offs. People like watching train wrecks. We are a train wreck. Own it people. When you run away, that's when everyone rolls their eyes.

Jersey didn't want Jersey Shore either. It didn't matter. MTV has a right to show it and they definitely plan on showing it. A Senator pretending to be mad just helps their case. I read an article that said they wouldn't be surprised if Manchin's "travesty" comment didn't end up on the DVD set LOL.

Being from La, this new series takes the spotlight off of our idiots. At any given time La has 7-10 different shows and it's because there's an insane tax incentive to film in our state. Don't be surprised if this is just the beginning for WV.

Just because they "have the right" to do something, does mean they should. Just saying.

I totally agree. It's going to happen whether they should or shouldn't do it, though.
