Maya Angelou is speaking at the Clay Center tonight. She speaks five languages, is an adviser to the president and is the most successful writer in the world today. I heard her speak in New Orleans two years ago, and it was better than Monday Night Football with a Pearl Jam concert.

Once, she said, the prez came to her after an emergency meeting with the chiefs of staff. They were pressuring him intently to immediately begin bombing a small African nation to eliminate people accused of conspiring against the US. The president was torn because he didn't have adequate intelligence concerning civilians and collateral damage possibilities. He asked her for her take. She replied with only one line:

"Can't you kill them tomorrow?"

It's amazing how simple language can affect the world. She saved the lives of children that night, and gave the president a pause that allowed him to make a better decision. All in five words.

That is a perfect example of why this guy needs replaced. Seeking the advice of a former pimp, actress, poet instead of military advisors. Glad he didn't ask her about OBL. I'm sure there will be dozens at the Clay Center to see her. I mean my god with stunningly brilliant comments like "can't you kill them tommorow" the place should be sold out.

Because you know it couldn't have been the sonuvabush. He never did seek intellectual advice. He prayed for knowledge. How'd that work out?

I don't know, exactly how many times were we attacked after 9/11? He will go down as one of the best presidents ever 100 years from now. Are you better off now than you were four years ago? See you in Nov. republicans by a landslide. No more on the job training for community organizers and his criminal entourage. see ya on the golf course p.o.n

I must say that I have never heard anyone argue that bush was a smart guy. Two illegal wars, the killing of 500,000 innocent people, coincidental increase in the price of oil when he's in the oil business, his constant gaffes (fool me once...), his inability to respond intelligently to any question, the trashing of our standing in the world, attacking the wrong country, etc. Those things are indisputable and have tarnished his legacy, rightly, forever... and please lightly research the current electoral college, the 4 battleground states and current polls. Mathematically Romney has a 2 percent chance to win. I suppose if Obama is discovered to be the 12th hijacker in the next few weeks, that could change but... now watch this drive...

Mathematically Ronald Reagan was in the same boat in 1980. You need to quit smoking that damn dope and believing the left wing propaganda. Just about everthing you have said has been debunked. You read like one of these people who believe 9/11 was an inside job. I was a small aircraft pilot at one time, G Bush flew jet aircraft,I assure you (as I'm sure you either know something about or were a former jet pilot) he is no dummy. Please read the Presidents veterans day speech in 1998 and tell me this was all on Bush. Gaffes, you mean like Obummer saying he had visited 52 states.etc.etc,etc. Your youth shows enthusiasm which is cool but some revisionist history and I bet a strong taste for that packet you just add water and sugar to.

If George Bush was a fighter pilot I am an astronaut currently on the moon. He was in the national guard. Daddy got him in despite his grades, drug use and alcoholism. I'm well over 30 and am extremely familiar with aviation. To claim any successes on behalf of that disaster honestly astonishes me. He should be jailed at the Hague awaiting trial on war crimes, including profiteering and mass murder. We were attacked by men from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Lebanon and he attacked Iraq. I truly cannot argue with anyone that claims he is anything but an embrassment and failure whose brother cheated him into the white house. Republicans run from his image. Being an independent thinker is great - I'm proud of you. But you certainly you must feel lonely at times when making these outrageous claims. What else can I say? MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Remember that one? He was on a carrier in the mediterranean - whoops, I mean off the coast of San Diego.

I agree with the astronaut analogy, you do come off as a space cadet. Yes he was in the guard, trained and flew f-102's maybe you should ask Dan Rather about his service. Facts are stubborn things. Read what Tony Blair has to say about Bush's intelligence in between drinks of kool aid. These Muslim savages know nothing but strength if you know anything about their culture, better to fight in Iraq than here. You are right kid, no sense in arguing with a 30 something. I guess thats when I thought I knew it all too. Someday a light will come on and you will see it all. I was truly shocked that you would come back and write you are extremely familiar with aviation, shocked. If I ever need help with any brain surgery questions I think I will know where to come.

I'm sure flying Starfighters over west Texas was a dangerous job, requiring bravery and skill only possessed by a future world leader. Its not just me, no one makes the ridiculous about the sonuvabush you do.

49. "We spent a lot of time talking about Africa, as we should. Africa is a nation that suffers from incredible disease." --Gothenburg, Sweden, June 14, 2001

George W Bush knew more about "Strategery" and "Evil Doers" than any other. He was extremely adept at dodging a hurled shoe, actually two. Probably a good guy to drink a beer or two with.

Don't forget about his stopping a "nookyoular" attack. And he understand the moral fabric that holds us together. "Families is where the heart is. Where wings take dream."
