They know right from wrong and it's not up to the girl/woman to dress like nuns to keep them at bay. Who says the girl was dressed inappropriately anyway? She was at school and they do have a dress code there.

Absolutely NOT! I agree with you. Men SHOULD control themselves -with all women at all times. To consider minor girls as a sexual interest? No way! All girls under the age of 18 SHOULD be completely off limits to grown men - period! I do NOT condone what this teacher did or believe in any way that it is the girl's fault. He did what he did and is guilty by his own admission. Now? He should be made by the courts to pay the penalty.

No, men are not sex-crazed pigs, but they ARE men. Any man will tell you that scantily clad girls (even early in their development) DRAW THEIR ATTENTION! What they do with that? That is where the responsibility lies. But, any father worth his weight in octopus slime will ensure that his daughter is conservatively dressed - not only to avoid unwanted attention from adult men, but also to avoid the wrong type of attention from boys their own age!

And, by conservatively dressed? I don't mean they have to look like one of the women in Warren Jeff's compound either!!!

What he did was wrong. Him being a teacher made it even worse. Putting his words in writing was idiotic!! On the same note, his crime was not rape, statuatory rape, sexual assault, or anything like that. It was inappropriate words,(not threats), words. Punish him for what he did, but only what he did. I don't know how many messages there were and how many she responded to, or what her responses were, so I don't know if it could be called harrassment or not. What do you guys think the "title of the crime" is?

This thread isn't about scantily clad girls. This is about a pedophile who requested pics. Start a new thread if you want to talk shit about slutty teens. I thought you were leaving anyway?

Who said the girl was dressed inappropriately, though? You made that assumption and you think it matters. Women get raped and get unwanted attention when they are completely covered. I've gotten unwelcome advances in a winter coat and work uniform before. So yeah, that argument is totally flawed. The girl was at SCHOOL where they have a DRESS CODE so obviously she could not have been dressed that inappropriately.

The crime is called "Solicitation of a Minor." I've already stated this multiple times. It's a crime that carries prison time. Also, a man in Dunbar just got 16 for simple possession of child pornography. If this girl had given him the pics and he had them at arrest, he would be facing even more prison time. Read the law.

solicitation of a minor. west virginia code 61-3c-14b. FELONY ! BAM ! 2 to 5 years, not more than 5,000 fine. toss in regestered sex offender for life. that should be sufficient.

I made no such assumption ... I said IF and even if she was, I did not say it excuses his actions! I only said it is prudent for parents and their underage girls to dress "age-appropriate" in order to avoid unwanted attention from grown men OR boys their own age. Men are visual, and there is no doubt about that. We, as females, cannot show lots of boobs and butts and expect men to look away. They're not gonna!!!

I've been to the high school, and I'm not sure what dress code they have in place or who enforces it, but I can assure you that it isn't much of one or it isn't enforced very well at all! What I saw? Cleavage all over the place, clothes so tight there was nothing left to the imagination, and young girls dressed like they were going to the club. That is unacceptable. And to expect a 22-year-old not to notice? Unreasonable. What I DO expect is that he, being in a position of authority, notice but do NOTHING about it except turn the other way. But, to those of you who think he won't or shouldn't notice? You're kidding yourselves.

point in the whole mess of it: girl is old enough to know better, AND know what no means, AND if she were to KILL someone would be tried as an ADULT! Man: is old enough to know better, ADMITTED to EVERYTHING, knew better and is facing all that is before him! Like I have said before... DROP IT AND FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO TALK ABOUT!!! Do you find nothing better to do with your time than to stick your noses into other peoples buisness? You do know thats a good way to get it cut off!? Focus on your own lives and your own issues, and leave this be. AND... If you do continue to talk about it, atleast have ALL the facts and KNOW what the hell you are talking about...

The waiting game is the easiest sport there is. Figured he wouldn't suck at it being the all star he is\was. 18 year olds look better in holey jeans anyways.

I would hardly call this guy a pedophile. Nowadays, 15-year old girls look like grown women and act like them. That's too bad, because you should enjoy your childhood and teen years for what they are.

Granted, under 18 is off limits, but let the facts be found in this case before this guy is sent to the gallows.

Back in the day, I had a fellow classmate - 15 yrs old to be exact, sophomore year, who was allegedly having a relationship with one of our teachers. He was in his late 20s, maybe 30. Some of the chicks were a little more "matured" than others at that age and she was a cute blonde. It didn't bother the rest of us any - maybe we just had an open mind, but his tutoring did help her become an A student in Algebra class.

Rumor had it that he waited on her to turn 18 and then they got married. Go figure.

I think I'd call this guy "normal." Inappropriate, but normal. 22-year-old guys are looking at EVERY nice-looking female 15-50 and imagining them without clothes on! You KNOW that.

Girls today are trying to look grown WAY, WAY, WAY before their time, and our society is pushing "sexy" down their throats as soon as they are old enough to understand the difference between girls and boys.

Toddlers in Tiaras - how sick is THAT?
