My husband works with Simon and he was wanting to see this story so i got on here to find it. This is just devastating. I can't imagine what you are going through. Remember the good times and your family and you are in my prayers.

I thought the man who passed away was named Joe, not Simon?

Although this is a sad story, I can't believe the widow of this man put his children on television. The little boy was crying during the interview, and of course the media being the hounds they are, zoomed right in on him. It was disgusting. I know grief and shock can do a lot of things to people, but she needs to think of those kids and put them first.

Don't judge her on this until you are in her shoes. How do you know the children didn't want to do this. She has enough heart-ache without reading your mean comments. My prayers and sympathy goes all to the entire family.

Children "want" to do a lot of things, but it is up to an adult to decide whether or not a child can handle it. Obviously, that little boy couldn't. Granted she is only the step parent, but she failed him. It was too soon. If this is any indicator of her parenting skills, I hope those children have blood relatives who care enough to be involved in their lives. Especially after seeing this example of poor judgment.

You heartless bitch. Leave your comments to yourself. You have no idea what what you are talking about. How many children do you have and how well did they turn out from your better than everyone else parenting skills?

I GUESS LOSING A HUSBAND AND FATHER ISN'T ENOUGH. YOU HAVE TO ADD YOUR WORTHLESS COMMENT FOR SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHEN IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU. IT SADDENS ME HOW MISERABLE SOME PEOPLE ARE. BY THE WAY, THE "LITTLE BOY" IS AN ADULT IN THE VIDEO.

He hardly looks like an adult. I can guarantee you I would not be on the news like this with my kids if my husband died. You can tell she's one of those drama filled pity seeker types. I stand by my comments 100%, and if you don't like it, don't read it.

I agree with you. I was watching the news before I left for work today and that was definitely a kid with tears running down his face. Still a pretty sad story though.

I know the members of this family and your comments are showing what a heartless person you are! Do not judge someone who is in a state of shock and grief! It doesn’t matter if you agree or not the point is they were supporting each other period.

It doesn't matter if it is a step-child or her child which was crying. The point is they all have lost a person in their lives which has left a hole in their hearts!!!

The only comments for any story of a heartbreaking loss should be of support and heartfelt sorrow for the family’s loss.

I am sorry but if you cannot post positive comments then you should keep them to yourself. Families do not need to hear about or read comments as such!!!!

You are a heartless you know what. It is a tragic story. Do you know this woman, how can you say "she is one of the drama filled pitty seekers"! I don't know this woman either but I would never say that about her. How would you like to see your husband die right in front of you? Give it up.
