For all the people saying it wasn't the club owners fault...WHAT???? They have to control who comes into that club. If they can't tell an ID is fake they shouldn't be in that business. If they can't afford to hire someone to check ID's they shouldn't be in business. The girl should be charged as well but the club owner & manager should be doing jail time. A 14 year old is not mature enough to act responsible. That is why they don't have rights. That is the parents job. I would like to know where the parents where and they should be charged as well. It's stupid that people actually think the club isn't responsible.
idk about you,but im from vegas and ive seen some dang good fake ID's,some of these ID's are done by pros and ppl can pay good money for them,id like to see you pick out a fake one from a real one done by a pro

Just because she gave fake id's a proper background check would have revealed she was not 18. One less scum for a couple months.
Well said. If a bar owner has to control the age of his patrons, how could he not be expected to do the same with his employees? The best part of his punishment is that he is not allowed to participate in his livelihood for a time. That should hit him in the pocketbook.

This girl knew exactly what she was doing and will probably end up dead like this playboy model. Funny, both in the same paper on the same day. Interesting.

You know what- all you bible thumpin republican goofballs should really go and make your own country where everything sexual is repressed and see how that goes. People are really po'd at the business owner for hiring a 14 year old but the government should offer a free way to validate identification. Why would the business owner put his livlihood at risk to hire one girl? It does not make sense. Where is the outrage when a business owner sells alcohol to a minor with a fake ID? Is that not as bad for some reason? The big penalty with fake ID's should be for the people making them and using them-not the ones believing them. Are we to trust our government identification? We are supposed to trust the cards. If you say we are not to trust the ID cards, generate a free way to validate them.

West sider has a great point! That everyone's getting all hyped up about this because it involves a dancer. If if was just some minor at a bar nobody would care. I have been dancing my way through school for a couple years now, and I can tell you all that there is nowhere around here that even thinks about doing a background check on dancers. The managers briefly check ID's and that's about it. A little paperwork for your schedule and ways to contact you and they send you on up to the stage. I think if every state used the same ID's it might make things better. Who's to say I go in for a job and give them a fake Montana state ID card. They will never be able to tell the difference because nine times out of ten, they've never seen one.

First, if this had been my daughter, "I have two older than this girl", I would have tanned her arse for the false ID. Secondly, the owners of these Strip clubs are not the most respectable businessmen.. Why not have her show a drivers license? Yes, I can understand that they can be faked too, but the story is vague on the exact type of ID. All parties guilty...

I'm guessing the girl is a fan of most of the slutty, young role models young girls have these days. Like that Miley Cyrus hoe for example. I'm not surprised 14 year olds are hitting the pole. It's what they learn as okay. And background checks for strip clubs? Haha, I'm sure...

first of all back round check for hiring dancers, who cares what these women did if they are up there dancing nobody cares until something like this happens. bottom line the parents and the girl should absorb most of the punishment and yes the owner should be slapped with a tasty fine but not jail leave that to the parents, they can take turns

An 8th grader in middle school shouldnt be difficult to figure out. Perhaps the strip club owner should be put in a cell with Big Bubba"

The whole basis of punishing those who hire/serve/allow entrance to underage men and women is that the older person 'should know better' and it is his/her job to protect the youth from themselves. This is a good idea, but works about as well as my mother not letting me smack my little sister back because I was older and 'knew better'. It won't fix the problem if the younger one doesn't get in trouble for the first misconduct.
Yes, the girl should be in trouble. More than a slap on the wrist, but certainly less than something on her permanent record.
The men should have to pay fines, be made to look into the resources they have available, and serve some jail time (if she looked very obviously 14 and it is decided that they put money over precaution).
And the parents should have to take parenting classes (pay for it themselves) and feel the shame of having their names printed in their local newspaper.
Just my thoughts.
It would help, too, if we taught our kids that being 'grown up' means paying for bills and being responsible for our actions, instead of screwing like sluts, cursing like sailors and downing every chemical we have available to us into our systems. Whose fault is that if not the general population of society?

With the counterfeiters, its been getting harder and harder to detect a fake ID. If a person has the technology and the money to do that, then it becomes harder for anyone to tell if its fake. It all depends on where she went to get the fake ID. Then we have the argument that how can the owners not tell if she was 14. I've seen 14 year olds that looked like they were 18-19 years old and I would never have thought they were 14 until we asked them. She probably found a person that was able to hook her up with a really good fake ID, then on top of that she probably looked old as hell and when they done the background check, it pulled up someone elses information and the owner probably left it at that. He should have been more careful by making her submit a job application, check out where she worked, get references and finger prints, and a copy of her birth certificate from her and run it through the police. Both are at fault. I'm in my 20's and there were times when I wanted to buy alcohol or tobacco products and they wanted to see my ID because I looked like I was 16.

This 14 year old also could have known someone that was pedaling stolen ID's and he probably found someone that looked like her and that's how she was able to get the job.
